Zoey did not know what to feel right now. Firstly, she woke up in a unfamiliar room. Secondly, she could not remember anything or on how she got here. And thirdly, there is a attractive man sitting on the bed next to her, typing away on his laptop.
Ezekiel was doing some of his unfinished work in his laptop, when he felt a pair of eyes staring right at him.
He slightly glanced at his side and saw the woman staring at him in a daze, she looked like she was trying to process everything in her head with her eyebrows scrunched together.
Ezekiel silently chuckle. He put his laptop on the bedside table and fully turned towards the woman, he raised his arm and poked in between her eyebrows.
"Good morning, wife." He said, with a ghost of a smile forming on his face.
Zoey was broken from her daze when something poked in between her eyebrows and when a smooth husky voice reached her ears.
She couldn't help but feel flustered, heat rising up to her cheeks. But then, she remembered what the voice had said.
"What?! What do you mean 'wife'?!" Zoey said, quickly rising from the bed and pointing a finger at the 'attractive' man.
"You're my wife." Ezekiel said, tilting his head like a puppy.
Zoey kept her self calm when she saw the man's cute gesture. She cleared her throat and looked at the man straight at his eyes.
"I don't remember having a husband." Zoey said, looking at the man suspiciously.
Ezekiel lightly chuckled, sending shivers down Zoey's spine.
Ezekiel started explaining to her on what happened at the bar, the night before. Zoey started to have a headache with all the information thrown at her.
"So you're telling me, that I signed a marriage contract with you last night?" Zoey said, pinching in between her eyebrows trying to ease her pounding head.
"Yes." Ezekiel said, as if all of this is normal. He waited patiently for Zoey to process all of the things that was happening.
"Ok, since we are married on paper, as you said. Let's get to know eachother, I'll go first. My name is Zoey Carlisle,26 years old, and I was born in New Zealand, but I moved here in New York when I was 22 and became a fashion photographer in a small fashion studio, and I have been working there for the past two years." Zoey said.
"Ok, your turn." Zoey said, looking at Ezekiel with anticipation shown in her eyes.
"..."
Ezekiel did not know what to say. 'This woman is just too calm.' He thought, a small smile forming on his attractive face making him more godlike.
Zoey couldn't help but be mesmerized by the man's face, once again.
"You are too calm for someone that's going to get married to someone they don't even know." Ezekiel said, standing up and going towards his closet.
"Well, I could've been in a worst situation than now. Now tell me about yourself!" Zoey said impatiently.
"My name is Ezekiel, 31 years old, born here in New York and I work in a company." Ezekiel said, taking off his pyjamas, showing his toned muscles.
Zoey quickly turn her head away, clearly flustered. Ezekiel glanced at her flustered form, smirking silently to himself.
"S-so I guess the company you work in pays you alot if you can afford this kind of place." Zoey said, looking at the expensive furniture in the man's room.
"You could say that. You can turn around now." Ezekiel said, slightly struggling to button up his suit.
Zoey saw the look of struggle plastered on Ezekiel's face. She couldn't help but let out a slight chuckle, finding the situation very cute.
When Ezekiel heard her laugh, his heart rate quickened and heat rose up to his cheeks. Her voice was like music to his ears, smooth and silky.
" *ahem* Do you want me to drive you home?" Ezekiel said, tidying up his suit.
"Oh, you don't have to! I'll just take a cab or go to the nearest bus stop." Zoey said, shaking her head. She couldn't bare to be in the same car with Ezekiel, or else she might lose control and fangirled in front of him.
"Are you sure? I wouldn't really mind, I'm in no rush to go to work." Ezekiel said, taking Zoey's shoes from under the bed and helping her put it on.
Zoey was so flustered at the moment, that she couldn't even speak. " S-sure! Let's go right now!" Zoey said, quickly standing up from the bed as soon as Ezekiel finished putting on the shoes for her.
When they walked out of the bedroom, the living room was extravagant. Zoey didn't even hide the awed expression that was plastered on her face.
Ezekiel retrieved a plastic bag from the kitchen and took Zoey's belongings from the couch, and then gave it to her.
"What's this?" Zoey sad, taking her belongings and the plastic bag from the man.
"You haven't eaten breakfast yet, so I thought you could eat it during the car ride or when you get home." Ezekiel sad, while grabbing his keys.
"Oh, thank you." Zoey said, as her heart rate quickens.
When they were outside the huge apartment building, they were met by a black BMW. When they got in the car, Zoey couldn't help but look around.
"First time?" Ezekiel said, smiling at her amazed expression.
"Yeah. This is the first time I ever rode in an expensive car." Zoey said, slightly scratching the back of her neck.
"And it wouldn't be the last." Ezekiel said, as he started the car and drove. Zoey's face goes beet red when she heard Ezekiel's words.
After a while of driving and Zoey saying the directions, they finally arrived in front of a small apartment building.
"So um, thank you for the ride. I gotta go now, bye!" Zoey said, grabbing her things and got out of the car but before she could leave, Ezekiel slightly pulled her arm back and kissed her forehead.
Zoey was dumbstruck, she did not expect that at all. While Ezekiel just smiled at her like he did nothing wrong.
"Goodbye, and stay safe wife." Ezekiel said, letting go of Zoey's hand and driving off into the distance.
Zoey still stood there, touching her forehead on were Ezekiel kissed her. After standing there for a while, she finally left and started walking in the apartment building in a daze.
When she arrived in front of her apartment, she opened the door, went inside, shut the door behind her, and that's when she finally lost it.
Putting her back against the door, she slid down and sat on the ground. She started tugging at her hair, eyes widen in disbelief, and the only thing in her mind was 'What have I gotten myself into?!'.
