Hunter walked towards the river. The water was crystal clear and the moon's light illuminated on the surface of the river. Lexi had always loved to visit this place with him especially as the sun was setting on the horizon. The sunset was Lexi's favorite time of the day.
"Where are you," Hunter whispered aloud. "Please come back."
Hunter knew Lexi was around the town somewhere, he just didn't know where she was hiding.
If she's not here or the woods I don't know where else to look.
He neals down by the riverbank and places his had on the river's surface. A small fish swims down by the rocks and mud at the bottom on the river. There was just enough light for Hunter to see a figure in the shape of a person calling his name.
Hunter gets up and starts running over.
"Any sign of her," the person asks.
"No. I thought i mi-," Hunter was cut off.
"No time for stories. We must find Lexi before tomorrow night."
"I wasn't-"
The person puts his hand over Hunter's mouth to indicate he's not interested in listening to Hunter talk. "Let's go back to the studio," he says. Grabbing Hunter's wrist he starts walking.

She stares at the sky, looking at the stars trying to find the constellations. She knew Hunter would come for her, she just didn't know when. For some reason Lexi didn't have the courage to go back alone.

"How's that song going?"
"It would be going better if you wern't bugging me about it," Hunter said.
"May I hear it so far?"
"Fine, James." Hunter takes out his guitar and begins to play the notes to the introduction. '"You know I'd fall apart without you, I don't know how you do what you do, 'cause everything that don't make sense about me, makes sense when I'm with you, like everything that's green, girl, I need you, but it's more than one, and one mkes two, put aside the math and logic, of it, gotta know you're wanted, too.'' That's it so far."
"Lovely," James says, then looks down at his watch. "It's time for me to go to my conference. Keep working on the song, she needs to know you love her and want her to come back home."
"'Lovely?'Really? That's the best word you can come up with? 'Lovely?'"
"You're stalling. Go on, keep writing. I'll be back in two hours," James says then walks out the door.
"I'm not a kid!" Hunter hollers after him.
Hunter sits back on his chair. "You're not my boss," he mumbles. Guitar music starts to fill the room again as Hunter works on the rest of the song.

Hunter continued to play the music and hum to the beat, but no words came to him.

The wind blew over Lexi's face, and she shivered at the thought of Hunter never coming. She really screwed this up. Why didn't she just do what those idiots wanted? She could have gone with him back home, but, stupid as it was, she knew she had made the right choice.
Just as a new thought came to her, so did a man's fridged hand. Lexi tried to scream but he had too much of a grip on Lexi chest that nothing would come out except the air that couldn't come back in.
