3 Years Later...
Narrator's POV
The first Olympian has fallen as a strange man picks up Hermes' staff.
Chris' POV
It's been three years since I was exiled to my new home. Well, I am actually loving the peace my home brings me. Currently, Anna and I are in the thick forest of the hidden realm. We are hunting down a griffen that made its way into the realm. We are running through the thick brush and trees listening carefully for movement. In the years I've become very skilled in my metal abilities and I still don't have my other powers. I started to feel something off in the brush. I summoned the metal into armor around my body.
Watch out!" I yelled and jumped at Anna. I pushed her out of the way and two giant paws tackled me. The griffen took flight and tried to flee. I turned a part of my metal into ninja stars and threw them through its wings. It spiraled downwards to the ground about 1/4 of a mile away.
"Thanks," She said dusting herself off.
"Let's get this griffen first then you can thank me after," I said and took off toward the griffen. I was careful not to trip on roots or vines. I finally broke into the clearing and saw the griffen on the ground. In its side were 7 moonlight silver arrows.
"Hunters," Anna growled with distaste. I turned to see 30+ girls, bows drawn at me, and in front of them stood my godly sister, Artemis.
"Sister," I said in displeasure. Anna stepped in front of me protectively. Artemis started to laugh at the gesture.
"Another protects the king, though I like your fighting spirit. Girls lower your weapons," she said and the bows were lowered uneasily. You see the Hunters of Artemis are humans, demigods, and nymphs who swear loyalty to the goddess Artemis in joining nature, the hunt and staying a virgin. The hunters possess immortality and eternal youth as long as they don't fall in battle. So they don't like men at all, to say the least. She emphasized the 'King' and it ticked me off.
I'm not the king anymore so LEAVE ME ALONE, I'M FINALLY AT PEACE," I yelled at my sister. I started to walk away when she grabbed my arm.
"But the world isn't. The danger is worse than ever, you are our last hope," She said in fear.
"You all betrayed me, or do you not remember a lightning bolt going into my chest, mind you, it was from my own father," I said. I turned to leave when Anna collapsed into my arms.
"Anna," I yelled. Her eyes shot open and stood up uneasily.
"I'm ok, but I can't feel the connection to my mother anymore," Anna choked back.
"What is this," I ordered Artemis to speak.
"We need to talk," Artemis said seriously.
"Fine, Anna takes the hunters into town, also I would like to talk to you later," I said politely. She nodded and waved the hunters to follow. Soon enough Artemis and I were alone.
"What's going on," I asked sternly. She slightly shook uneasily like she was scared.
"The gods are being hunted to extinction," she spoke. I was in disbelief about it.
"That's impossible, the gods are way too powerful," I said concernedly. She shook her head and looked at me sadly.
"The minor gods have been killed, as you saw with your friend, Hecate is no more," she shakily stated.
"What do you want with me though," I said and closed my hands into fists. I will admit, I'm much weaker than I was before.
"We need you to come back home, dethrone your brother, and help destroy your threat," she said in hope.
