Sarah

After I threw up, I went straight back to Harold to tell him about himself. Before I made it completely on the bathroom, I was on the floor with a sting feeling on my face.

"Listen, Bitch. Get your black ugly ass out of my house. Now I got a real women instead of a little ass girl, I don't need you. And here's that little $400 I took. Being that I hit the lottery for 3.2 million dollars, I don't need this shit." He threw the money in my face and kicked me in my side, walking out the room.

All I could do is cry. What could I do with $400? No family, no car, nothing. I didn't want to call Vicky or Rain for help. Being that I'm closer to Rain, I'll call her.

I got myself together and walked in my old room. I packed all the little clothes that I did have into my bookbag from school. I honestly only owned 5 shirts and 3 pair of dark jeans. I grabbed all of my other belongings and put my bookbag on my back. I walked out the house.

Rain lived on the other side of town. I sat at the bus stop and just thought how I'm going to make it.

$433, my job is on this side of town, I don't get paid until 2 weeks from now, $2.50 a day for a bus, no car.

I jump out my thoughts when I heard the bus turning down the street. I stood up and grab a ten dollar bill out my pocket. When the bus stop, I paid and took my seat.

I pulled out my flip phone and called Rain. On the third ring, she answered.

"That was fast. I'm on my wa-," I interrupt her.

"No. I'm on my way to your house. It's a long story. Do you have any room for me to sleep?" I mumbled the last part but I hope she heard me.

"Of course. I have a 2 bed room, Sarah, what's going on?"

Rain parents bought her a 2 bedroom apartment when she graduated this year with me. She always said she wanted me to move with her but I never wanted to.

-

I was now walking down the street to get to Rain's apartment. I can't even flex, this is a beautiful apartment building. It was a gated community so I knew it cost a fortune to live here.

I knocked on the door and waited for her to answer. She opened the door wearing her clothing for the party. She had her arms crossed and looked as if she was waiting for me to come.

"You have 30 seconds to tell me why you are here and why you not dressed." I looked at her and sigh.

Rain don't know about what goes on in my house. I never told her about the abuse or molesting. She thinks I'm just a less fortunate girl who works at McDonald's.

"I'll explain inside." I looked down then back at her.

She step to the side and I went inside. I explained to her from my mother passing to my father kicking me out. When I was done, Rain had tears down her face.

"And you didn't tell me? You could've been staying with me this whole time, Sarah!" She was so hurt that I regret telling her. Rain pulled me into a hug and hugged me tightly.

"You definitely need that party. Go get dressed so we can go." She let go and wiped away her tears.

I went upstairs to her bathroom and got dressed. I made sure to take a shower first. I then put on the clothes she bought and went downstairs.

"Okay, I'm ready," She turn around and her smile turn into a frown. I looked down to see what she was looking at.

"You seriously wasn't about to do your hair?" I then realized I didn't even touch my hair. She pulled me upstairs and sprayed something in my hair. She pulled up the flat iron and straighten my natural hair.

When she was done, I looked like a new person. I never felt so pretty before. Even though my father called me a ugly girl, I knew I looked beautiful, especially tonight.

We took a few pictures in her iPhone and she post it on some website. I think she said it was Mr.Gram, Histagrsm, or something.

I got inside her car and put on my seatbelt. She got in after locking up and crank the car up. The radio blasted some song I hear on the streets time to time.

"And I get high with my baby, I just left the mall, I'm getting fly with my baby, yeah
And I can ride with my baby, I be in the kitchen cooking pies with my baby, yeah" played through my ears.

The car came to a stop and I look up to see a castle. I mean, this house is beautiful. A bunch of cars were parked outside and the music was playing loud.

I got out the car and went inside with Rain. I remembered a few faces from school but most of them I don't know. I looked to my right to see Rain cuffed up with her boyfriend since highschool.

This is why I didn't want to come. I don't know none of these people and the only person I knew forgot all about me. I wondered around until I got to the kitchen. I went inside the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water. I knew these drinks had liquor in it so I didn't even think twice about it.

"So we meet again," I heard a voice behind me. I turn around to see Derrick.

"Look what God did. He brought us back together," he had a smirk on his face and a cup in his hand.

"Why are you here?" I looked at him up and down, checking out his attire. He had on a pair of dark Levi's, a white Polo shirt and butter Timberlands.

"It's a party," he said sarcastically. I felt dumb for asking that rhetorical question.

"Oh..." I said then looking down.

"So, what's your name?" He asked putting the cup down.

"Sarah."

"How old are you, Sarah?" He leaned on the kitchen counter without taking his eyes off me.

"18." I stared at him and then looked behind him.

"Well, since I'm the only person talking. I'm Derrick and I'm 20." He smiled showing those beautiful white teeth I remembered from the store.

"Nice to meet you, Derrick."

"I'm straining myself to hear you. How about we take this conversation to my car?" He began walking closer to me.

I was getting ready to say no until he grabbed my hand and led me outside to a gray Range Rover. I honestly think all rich people own a Range Rover.

He open the passenger seat and waited for me to get in. I got inside and he got into the drivers seat. He turned to me and smiled again showing his teeth again.

I received this feeling in my area that I never felt before when I saw his teeth. He is so beautiful yet the things he do is so ugly.

Derrick

We stayed in my car talking and laughing until the conversation about my mom came up.

I was talking about how my mom is my only parent living and it seem like she start tensioning up.

"What's wrong?" I asked her sincerely.

She sighed as if she didn't want to tell me. She end up telling me her whole life story.

The only thing I could've think was that she was damaged and wasn't worth anything.

I bet her pussy is loose. I thought to myself. I would just have to try it out.

I pulled her into a hug and hugged her tight. I felt my shirt get wet and rubbed her back.

"Stop crying ma. He's going to need you more then you need him. Let me take your friends house." She sat up and leaned back. It look as if she was into deep thought. She gave me directions to her friends house and I drove there. Before she got out, I grabbed her arm.

"We got lucky this time. How about you give me your number?" She look hesitate at first but she then wrote her number down on a piece of paper.

"Goodnight, Derrick." She let a small smile escape her lips and got out.

I waited for her to get inside and left.

What have I gotten myself into?
