It was too late.

Luke saw me. He immediately sprinted toward my car. I was now flying full speed backwards, down the road. Giving him time to catch up, I turned my Toyota around. I then realized that he didn't chase my car. He ran to his car.

I was in trouble. He'd chase me.

I fled down the street, rushing to get on the freeway. It wasn't long before he was on my tail.

I made the sharpest right turn into the freeway, without my signal. He caught on, he knew I wouldn't put my signal on. He was prepared for my 'surprise' turn.

What was I going to do? He'd chase me down, no doubt about it. And he killed Leah. Our closest friend, he killed her. Where did he even get a gun from?

Though it was hard to see, I swerved through traffic. Left. Right. I made turns so sudden, it almost resulted in an accident. Multiple times. There was seriously nothing I could do. I had an advantage, though. I had a full tank of gas, and he probably didn't.

5 minutes later, I realized I lost him. So, I eased my guard and relaxed. He was gone. I was fine. Leah isn't, a little voice in my mind stated. I pushed the thought out if my mind and thought of where the nearest police station would be.

All of a sudden, I was drifting off. My head was dropping, which startled me awake. I was so exhausted, I couldn't keep my eyes open. I tried searching for my 5hour energy pills, but then I realized I used the rest of them.

A loud honk submerged me from my slumber. Confused, I sat up. Then my jaw dropped with shock. I'd slid into the other lane! I was now traveling at full speed in the other lane.

A series of honks embraced my existence. I tried moving, I really did. I just couldn't. Finally, I could.

I sharply turned back into my lane. What I didn't notice is that my lane was another lane over.

Now, I was speeding head first into a semi truck.
