I repeatedly looked between the clock and the ship.

The clock.
The ship.
The clock.
The ship.

It wasn't a ship, exactly. It was a spaceship. That's what it looked like anyway.

"Woah.." my voice trailed off as I stared at the looming figure in front of me.

A tall, narrow aircraft stood in front of me. Green accents hinted where the window and door were occupied. Also, the bolts holding the ship together were a pasty green. It had a pointed top, which helped it glide through the air, I assumed.

As if on cue, steam evacuated the craft. A high pitched hissing sound echoed the room.

All of a sudden, the doors opened. In a slow manner, the heavy yet dark doors lowered itself, revealing an entrance.

I would not go in there. It was a trap.. it had to be. Just no way.

Then, there seemed to be movement coming from inside. Gasping, I ducked. I didn't want anything else coming after me. I quickly sheltered myself behind a piece of fallen ceiling. It completely hid myself.

Two figures stepped down the walkway, and spoke in hushed voices. I couldn't hear a thing. Then, they stopped all of a sudden. The female figure cleared her throat.

Very slowly, I peeked over the corner of the fallen chunk. I could see the figures clearer, now. It was a male and female, wearing these suits. They looked like space suits. Then, the woman spoke up.

"Cora Nightingale, we know you're in here. Come with us, please, we will explain later." Her voice was like sugar. She seemed really sweet. Taking off her helmet, she revealed her blonde hair. It was pulled back into a ponytail, but she was absolutely gorgeous. A pang of jealousy shot up inside me. She was so pretty.

"You can take off your helmet now, Dylan. We should be good." The pretty woman noted to the male. Then, the male, known as Dylan, took off his helmet. He had shaggy brown hair, and blue eyes.

"Thanks for the heads up," Dylan smirked at the pretty girl, and went inside. "You look for the girl. I'll chill in here." Once he was out of sight, the pretty girl sighed.

"Cora Nightingale, we'd like to see you. We won't hurt you, I promise. We need you.. just please come here." Pretty girl sat down and leaned on her hands, which were resting on her knees.

Thinking, I breathed in. Was it worth risking? I think it was. They could really help me. They were the only sign of human life I've seen so far. Slowly, I stood up. I was shaking, but I was brave.

"I'm.. over here." As soon as those words came through my mouth I regretted it all. Why would I give myself away? Pretty girl looked up, and gasped. She sat there shocked, jaw dropped and everything.

"Dylan!" Pretty girl shouted, her gaze fixed on me.

The shaggy haired guy stumbled down the steps, pizza in his hands. He didn't have his suit on, he just wore regular clothing.

"Dang Emma, you ruined my pizza meal! What do you.." His gaze slowly trailed to what she was staring at, and he stood in shock. Jaw dropped, he dropped his slice of pizza.

Pretty girl, whose name i found out is Emma, ran over to me immediately after the slice dropped. She stood in front of me, then glanced back at Dylan. I couldn't see what they were doing, but I figured they were having a conversation. A silent one. Then, Dylan rushed over by Emma's side.

"Right this way, please." They both spoke at once, in a rehearsed tone. Then, they escorted me onto the ship that was once a wonder.
