I grabbed my bio-mask and put it back on. It notified me that my footage had successfully been transmitted to Prime for the Elders to review. The ooman "Sahmata" or whatever her name was, I specifically deleted from it. The Elders should not know she is aboard my ship.
The rest of my armor was on a rack by the bed, and I slipped it on to hunt. As I was exiting my ship, an incoming transmission came through, and it showed up on my wrist computer. It was from Elder Cher'ek.
HAVE YOU DELT WITH THE ROGUE
I smacked my metal covered face. Of course, the pauking Bad Blood. I need to eliminate her as soon as possible; the humans can wait.
NOT YET. OTHER MATTERS INTERRUPTED MY PLANS. WILL ATTEMPT TERMINATION NOW
My cloaking device sparking to life, I leapt over a building 6 stories high, and landed silently on the site of my first kill. There was nothing left but debris and a crater from my bomb. Oomans are so clueless.
My mask showed no current signs of life. The oomans must be afraid to come out after nightfall. Crouching for another leap, it suddenly alerted me of an approaching object traveling towards me very quickly. Before I had time to react, it made contact with my left arm.
I found myself pinned against a wall by a razor net. However, it didn't start to constrict, which I thought odd. As quickly as a net appeared, a figure came hurtling towards me from the front. I had about 3.7739 seconds to react, and I flung out my other arm just in time to catch the approaching hostile by the throat. I recognized another of my kind.
Throwing my opponent aside, I pulled my trapped arm free with a yank. I tried to activate my plasma caster, but it had been severely damaged from the impact of the wall. Only a fizzle of sparks came out the barrel.
My opponent came springing back towards me in my hesitation, and I was slammed to the ground.
"Did you miss me, my mate?" she asked in a soppy voice.
"No, T'Nira. I do not," I replied, harshly. She stroked my abs and I pulled away, disgusted.
T'Nira purred, and I threw her off. I refused to let down my guard to my former mate.
"You are a disgrace to the Alpha Clan. I still cannot believe I ever wanted you..." I said in a hateful tone. She leaped on me again, and I was forced back to the hard concrete beneath me. T'Nira purred again in a seductive way, and leaned in close to my face.
"Run away with me, Kyrum. Run away with me and we will be happy forever, together. Think of our love on Prime, when everything was peaceful."
"NEVER!"
I struggled, but this time she was prepared. T'Nira removed her mask, and her green eyes plowed down into my soul. Then, she removed my mask.
"You were beautiful to me once, T'Nira, but for no longer."
She traced a clawed finger down the scar on my face, and nuzzled my head lovingly.
"Oh Kyrum, my mate, my love, my reason to go on living...how I missed you so."
