An Inconvenient Attachment [Dreamwastaken X HasanAbi]

Chapter Six

It was time for Dream and Sapnap to face the world, they needed groceries and Dream felt like an incompetent baby when his mom got stuff for two grown men.  (Talk about privileged am I right?) 

So, Dream and Sapnap threw on their masks and drove to The Fresh Market and attempted to be as inconspicuous as they could.  That was until Sapnap fell in the middle of the store and managed to knock over their cart but they would rather not think about that.

It wasn't until they were in a small coffee shop that they went through any human interaction. 

"Excuse me?" A voice called out right behind Dream.

He whipped around and a black haired girl with two space buns and dramatic eye makeup was staring up at him.  "Yeah?"

She fidgeted with her hands.  "Well um, my name is Amelia and I was wondering if I could get your snap?"

Dream smiled politely.  "I'm flattered, I really am."  Amelia's face dropped.  "But I'm taken."  That would be easier.

"Oh, okay, sorry for asking," Amelia smiled before turning away.

Dream was done with people.

Later in the day, Dream decided to go down the rabbit hole of his mentions on Twitter in order to solve his boredom.  This was not the best idea.

YUH YUH @qwertyuiop - date                                                                                                                                        It seems like Dream legit hates George now.  Dream doesn't interact with him anymore and when he does its all fake.  I mean did you hear that sigh when Karl said Dream didn't like George???? It was a sigh of truth.  I miss the DNF content we used to get, the two were great together, but if they had a falling out I don't think they should force themselves to interact just to keep us happy.

AHHHH @mnbvcx - date                                                                                                                                       Replying to @qwertyuiop                                                                                                                                                      I agree that they shouldn't force themselves to do anything for us but I don't think that is the case.  It almost seems like George doesn't know, he always says that Dream might join later and he always looks hopeful.  I think something might have happened to Dream and it might not even have anything to do with George.  Dream hasn't been active in general.

Dream closed the app before he got too upset.  Fuck his fans for always being right about him.  Dream figured it was time, time to rip the bandaid off and talk to George.

He went over what he would say.  Dream in no way expected George to love him or leave Juliet for him, but it might be time to get his feelings out in the open.  The tweet was right, they cannot work it out if Dream isn't willing to talk.  He hadn't thought about the effect this had had on George, he figured he would be too entranced with his girlfriend but maybe, just maybe, this was hurting George too.

The actions Dream had taken must have hurt.  He imagined what he would feel like if George randomly stopped talking to him, if he completely cut Dream out of his life.  The blond would probably think it was because George found out Dream loved him, but George doesn't have the same, he doesn't have a reason to turn too.  To him, it must just look like Dream didn't like him anymore.  Like Dream was throwing away almost nine years of friendship like it was nothing.

So Dream texted George.
