Dream found himself driving in a rental car to a small farm up north.  Hasan said he stayed there a year ago when he got really stressed and it helped more than anything.  Trees were everywhere.  Dream was amazed at the lack of houses.  It really was rural.

As he got closer to the house he would be staying in, clouds broke through the sky and slowly, soft patters started coming from outside.  Dream didn't expect to like up north, the cold and dangerous weather were not appealing, but he felt relief in the way the air bit a little.

Something else that was different were the people.  They all seemed to have one track minds, they were on a mission and no one was going to stop it.  That doesn't mean they weren't nice, it just meant that Dream had to straight up ask someone for directions when he was clearly lost.  Usually, someone would just decide to make Dream's business their own.

Dream liked it.

Being alone and loneliness had proved not to be the same thing.  Alone was freeing.  Dream didn't have thousands of people watching his every move, he didn't have his mom breathing down his neck to just start a family already, he didn't have Sapnap giving him a look of pity every time something didn't go perfect for Dream.

Somehow, there wasn't even a sting in his heart knowing that George wasn't around.

Dream felt like he could breathe.

Finally, he turned on to the road where his final destination was.  Rolling fields full of green grass, goats, and sheep were everywhere.  Dream watched as a woman turned towards his car as he bumped onto the driveway and was reminded of what Hasan had said.

"There's a woman there," Hasan breathed out.  "Echo.  You should talk to her.  She's smart."

Who Dream assumed was Echo, simply turned back around and continued walking towards a pen of goats.

He shrugged, parked, and got out of the car.  A cat started walking up to Dream and he couldn't resist.

"Oh aren't you the prettiest ever!" He cooed, bending down to scratch their neck.  The flipped over onto their back and Dream would be lying if he didn't let out a little squeal.

"A-are you Hasan's friend?" A voice asked from somewhere behind Dream.

He whipped around and knew for a fact that his face had gone red.  "Uh... y-yeah that's me."

The woman nodded.  "Cool cool.  Your name is Clay right?"  Dream winced at his legal name.

He wanted to tell her to call him Dream but he was scared.  Hasan had said she was a safe person to talk to however, Dream wasn't quite ready to trust everything Hasan said.

Dream nodded.

"Well Clay, my name is Echo," She supplied.  "T-that nasty creature is Ella."  She pointed to the cat and narrowed her eyes.  "She may seem nice now, but trust me, she's a st-one cold bitch."  Dream decided that he was a fan of Echo as they walked along the gravel path, skipping the two houses and going straight for the huge, old barn.

The long wood boards creaked as Dream and Echo stepped into the dusty barn.  Immediately a black goat appeared to their left and started banging on the gate, attempting to get to them.

"H-how many goats do you have?" Dream took the step to ask.

Echo let out a chuckle as she opened a tin garbage can and scooped up some grain.  "Well, they're actually sheep-" Dream was going to puke. "-And I'd say around thirty, not including the rams."

"Oh, uh... s-sorry," he breathed out.

He was walking on egg shells and it was no ones fault but his own.  Jesus fucking Christ.  Why did he have to come here?  Hasan probably had no idea what he was getting Dream into.  After all, Dream's rambunctious online personality was only fueled by the fact that no one could see him.  Everyone seemed to think that he was overconfident.  Well, maybe he could understand that with how Dream acted around Tommy.  But that doesn't count!

Echo raised an eyebrow towards him as she opened the gate and pushed, what Dream assumed to be a ram, back.  "Don't apologize to me, apologize to him," she said, nodding at the ram while she poured the grain.

"Oh o-okay," Dream swallowed out.  "Sorry..."

"Daddy," Echo supplied.

"Sorry Daddy."

Oh.  Oh god.

Echo burst out laughing.

It was not remotely funny.  In fact, Dream might just have to head home now.  Remember that illusion of being alone?  Completely shattered.

"S-sorry," Echo giggled, rubbing her watery eyes after her onslaught of laughter.  "I-I couldn't... oh my god, I couldn't help myself."  She was practically heaving with every word.  You would have thought she had just run a mile.  "His name- his name is actually... oh my god..."

Strangely enough, Dream found himself laughing along.  It wasn't by any means a full blown wheeze attack like he usually gets, but it was more than just a little chuckle.  Maybe he was being a little bit dramatic before.

"So what's his name?" Dream asked finally.

"Papa," Echo deadpanned.

Dream might commit various crimes in an act of passion.
