It was a warm sunny day at East middle. Sun was streaming down  the football fields as grass glinted with sweet dew from being freshly watered. The gym coach, Mr. Vanderloo furrowed his brows as he faced the sun. He sighed as he realized he had a long day ahead of him.

Little did liam krass know that day, something.. inside him.. a thought or seed sprouted in his mind. And would grow. Grow into a realization of thoughts. An epiphany.

Lyncon woke up in his gaudy, sports themed room. His favorite football team quaterback, Tom  Brady hung thumbtacked to his wall. He studied it for a bit. He then slid out of bed onto his milky white feet. Lyncon was not the reserved type. Not the type to think before he speaks. Although, when he's in big trouble, he can be pretty crafty at getting away with things or out of an "unreasonable" punishment. Liam is quite like him in this way. Their families have enjoyed their company with each other for as long as they can remember. Lyncon was like a brother to Liam.

Or so he thought.

The two boys met each other at the front of the school. The school was a crusty mess. Trash traced the halls. Weird stains scraped on the wall, and the bathrooms, oh the bathrooms. Well, they were horrendous. Especially the boys bathroom. Stolen sanitary napkins and pads littered the ground. As if used as a toy. Graffiti was scratched on the stall door. A cracked mirror just across. Not to mention the *ahem* bodily fluids. Liam hopped-walked to class, half talking to himself and half talking to his friends or greeting mutuals down the hallway. Lyncon by his side. When the two accidentally brush hands, they think nothing of it. Liam thinks to himself."that was weird, but I'm not gay"

You are gay. *vine reference😟*

When Liam parted from the clump of boys, he made his way into gym class. Lyncon tagged along. They had the same gym period. Liam noticed a slight somber look on Lyncon's face. "Is.. anything wrong, dude?" He looks as he raises an eyebrow. Lyncon is known for hiding his sadness, and Liam can read him like a book. "I missed a pass at football practice a couple weeks ago, and coach won't stop riding my ass about it.". Liam rolls his eyes and responds. "Yeah, I noticed that. What do you want me to say? Vanderloo can be such a pain." Lyncon seems buried in thought. "I know man. But it was one little catch. He is totally overreacting." Lyncon's eyes start to gloss over and his cheeks sting. Liam doesn't say anything and slowly caresses his arm. He knows how much stress is put on him. From being one of the most popular kids, to being also one of the best at football. He was sick of getting depended of and was sick of being this high and mighty popular quarterback character that never gets sad and is either happy or angry. "Lyncon..." "I know this is tough for you, but coach will get over it. Trust me, this has happened to me many a times." He then grabs Lyncon by the waist, his Adam's apple feeling like a lump in his throat. His breath starts to get heavy and raspy as he pulls Lyncon in. Blush is painted on his face. He turns his face and rests his head on Lyncon's shoulder. His weak chin fits perfectly on Lyncon's collarbone. Lyncon wraps his arms around him in a tight embrace. Tears glaze Lyncon's face. They stay there. In the empty halls, swaying back and forth, just holding eachother with their warmth.
