"Oh my god, this place is amazing!" I exclaimed, making Peter laugh at me as we walked into the bit of the Stark Industries' Tower where the party was being held, my hand holding his arm as we walked into the already bustling scene.

"I forgot that you've never been here before." He chuckled as we looked around.

"Where do you work, Pete? Where's your office?" I asked.

"Well, I mean, my official office is on the floor above this one, but you know that I'm mostly on my patrols. My job here isn't actually my job." He shrugged, his voice lowered and his face closer to mine as we spoke so that no one would hear what he was saying. I bit my lip and looked up at him.

"Can we go up there? Can I see your office?" I asked. He looked at me.

"Baby, I don't know." He chuckled nervously and shook his head.

"Oh come on, Pete. It'll just be like that one time at the homecoming dance where you, MJ and I snuck away to the computer labs to watch a movie instead of staying at the dance. Come on, it'll be fun." I smiled and pulled on his arm like a child as I tried to convince him. He sighed, his eyes unsure as he looked around the room that was full of people and music, bodies already dancing together as others looked at the spread of food.

"Fine, okay, but we have to be quick-."

"Thank you!" I squealed quietly, making him chuckle and peck my lips before taking my hand and pulling me towards the elevators. Peter continued to look around to make sure that no one important would see where we were going as he pressed the button and the glass doors opened immediately.

"Come on." He whispered as he pulled me into them and pressed the button for one floor up. The glass box started to move, my eyes wavering as I saw the lit-up New York and Queens skyline from the elevator.

"It's absolutely beautiful, Pete." I shook my head.

"Trust me, angel, just wait until you see the view from my office." He commented. I looked at him excitedly, making him smile and nod as the elevator stopped and the doors opened. He took my hand again and pulled me along the dark and empty hallway, my heels barely making a sound against the carpet. My eyes widened as we approached the huge office that had completely see-through doors and walls so that you could look straight in. The really fucking fancy and huge office.

"This...this isn't your office." I scoffed, making Peter smile and look at me as he pushed the door open and led me in.

"It's nice, isn't it?" He chuckled.

"I'd use a lot bigger words than nice, but sure." I nodded, making him smirk as I looked to the windows. My eyes widened, my mouth falling open and my mind already mesmerised as I walked towards the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows.

"Oh my god." I whispered, my eyes wavering as they fell upon the Queens skyline again that was somehow even more beautiful from this angle. I pressed my hand against the cool material of the glass, my eyes darting around the scene and desperately trying to take in the thousands of light specks that were making up peoples' lives in the dark. And to think that only a year and a half ago, I could think of nothing worse than wanting to stay in the hellhole of a city that had turned out not to be so bad once the best thing about it came back.

"I don't think that I've ever seen something more beautiful in my life before." I mumbled and shook my head, Peter's arms curling around my waist from behind and his chin resting on my shoulder as I leant my body back into his.
