"I'm going to change my clothes, then we can go, stay here with the guys." Athena said to me.
"She's so whipped." Fred mumbled.
"What?" I asked him.
"She likes you, a lot. And she usually doesn't like anybody."
"She just pities me, just like everyone else here." I said under my breath and looked at my hands.
"Boy, you are so wrong. Listen, you know that most of these guys have a past just like yours or worst? Sure some of them were in this life even before they were born and their parents put them in here. But they understand what you've been through, better than you think." I looked at Fred.
"Past like mine?"
"Yes, it's their story to tell not mine, but nobody here pities you, specially Athena."
"So why she wants me here?"
"Dude she likes you. I know she can be rough on the edges, but she's a good person, so whatever you do don't hurt her. She can be ruthless when she wants, you'll see that tonight but she has a heart, a good one. She's the one that takes care of all of these people you saw tonight."
Is Fred right? Does she really like me? I don't know what I have to like. I never had someone that liked me before, only my parents but only in my first four years o don't remember. His words keep playing in my mind, I could feel the adoration he had for her. She looks to be a good person, a little forward in her words sometimes but she was always kind to me. I was lost in my thoughts when Athena came back, wearing all black, with leather gloves and a jacket.
She was putting two guns in a holster next to her ribs. She was truly a beautiful woman. Her face blank of any emotion, and her dark glasses on her head even though it's night I know that she never leaves without them. She looked at me and I saw a lot of emotions in her eyes. I can't describe what they were, but I can say pity was not one of them.
Maybe Fred is right!
"Are we ready?" She asked, looking at me and Fred, I nodded my head and got up.
