Unexpected love

Chapter 8

Third person POV

The next morning the boys woke up and put their new clean Gryffindor uniforms on and went down to the great hall for breakfast. They saw the golden trio and sat next to them. "Hey guys!" Hermione said.

Zabdiel POV

I saw Hermione and she said "Hey guys" and we all said "Hey" back. I couldn't help but think of the other day. It was like a date not really but I like to think of it that way. "Hello?! Zabdiel!" I got back to reality when I realized hermione was calling my name. Huh? "Aren't you going to sit down?" She said. I was standing up, I quickly sat down with embarrassment, my face was so red it looked almost like Ron's hair.

Hermione POV

I could tell that Zabdiel was embarrassed by his face but I thought it was cute. "So guys what class do you have first?" Zabdiel and Erick both said potions. "Me too!" The other guy said charms. I was kinda happy that Zabdiel was going to be in the same class as me maybe I can try to sit with him. We finished eating and started talking until a girl came. Angelina Johnson, she is a really nice girl but I never really got to know her. I saw her talking with Zabdiel the other day and they were working on notes for potions "Hey Zabdiel! Thank you for the notes I missed", She said. "Anytime Angelina" Zabdiel replied with a smile. I suddenly felt strange, like I didn't want him talking to her."Do you wanna hang out before class starts so we can catch up" Angelina said. Zabdiel looked at me and said "Is that ok hermione?" I was already kinda irritated that they get to hang out alone and I can't even talk or look at him without instantly blushing, I was really annoyed but then I realized that I was really attracted to him and hadn't even known him for more than a week."It's not like we are dating you can talk to whoever you want I don't care" I said rolling my eyes. Right when it came out I regretted it. Why did I say that! Once I saw his face I wanted to cry because he looked sad. I was going to say sorry but he left.

Zabdiel POV

I asked hermione if it was ok if I went with Angelina. I got to know Angelina yesterday in the common room when she heard my friends and I singing, she is really nice and smart and pretty but I wasn't really attracted to her the way I am with Hermione. "It's not like we are dating you can talk to whoever you want I don't care". What she said kinda hurt I didn't want her to see me upset so I left. I got to Angelina's side but I was just thinking about if I did something wrong to make hermione upset.

~Meanwhile

Hermione POV

"Are you ok why did you snap at Zabdiel like that?" Harry said. "I don't know I didn't mean to I was just mad because Angelina seems really attracted to Zabdiel but I don't understand why I feel so upset", "It's because you like him and your jealous!" Harry said. "No I don't!" I said. "Hermione I already know you do, you don't have to hide your feelings from me, I'm your best friend" He said. I said "I have to go to class I'll see you later", I got my bag and left.

Zabdiel POV

After I caught up with Angelina I went to class to hopefully sit with hermione and try to make up for whatever I did wrong but when I got there Fred was already with her so I sat with Erick and started my work.

Hermione POV

I wanted to sit with Zabdiel but after what I said he probably doesn't want to so I let Fred sit with me.

Zabdiel POV

I kept wondering what they were talking about because she was blushing. "¿Qué pasa Zabdi?" Erick said. " Nada, solo quería sentarme con Hermione." I said sadly " No quieres sentarte con tu mejor amigo?! estoy herido" Erick said with a fake cry. We both laughed and finished our work.
(Translation: what's wrong Zabdi?, Nothing I just wanted to sit with hermione. " you don't want to sit with your best friend! I'm hurt)

Hermione POV

After class I stopped Zabdiel and said,"Hey sorry I snapped at you earlier I was just stressed because I have a test and stuff" "It's ok I understand" he said. I felt bad for lying to him but I didn't want him to know it was because I was jealous. Hopefully things won't be awkward now.
