𝙈𝘼𝙍𝙔 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝘿𝘼𝙄𝙎𝙔 stared at her after she finished telling them the story. It was almost as if they expected any less.

"I would've fainted, had I been in your position Leonie", Daisy exclaimed.

"Well I froze. I'm not as brave as you'd think," She replied. "Mary is way braver", she added.

Mary smiled. "Will you get in trouble for telling us this?" she asked.

"Well I'm sure Tommy won't be happy about me doing so." She started to feel nervous, slightly regretting her decision of telling her friends.

"But I can trust you guys right?"

"Of course you can Leonie don't be silly," Daisy said, reaching out for her hand and placing her's on top of it. Both her and Mary smiled reassuringly at Leonie.

They felt bad for her. They knew what she'd endure and it would only get worst from here on out, they just wanted to be good friends for her.

"Well if you go missing in the next few days, we'll know who did it!" Mary teased.

"Don't worry Leonie, we'll take Tommy out ourselves if he hurts you," Daisy added.

"Seriously though, I don't think Tommy would bring any harm to me, but I suppose it might have been too personal of information to share with you," Leonie sighed.

"Nonsense. We are your best friends. Remember when we made the pact to tell each other everything? And I mean everything." Daisy reassured her.

"Yes. I do." Leonie said coyly.

They giggled as they re-enacted the pact they made years ago.

Mrs. Dupont sent Leonie out to retrieve some items for dinner. She walked past the betting shop on her way back and saw much commotion going on inside. It had been two days since the incident, and she hadn't seen Finn or either of the Shelby's since then.

She stared down at her feet, and noticed that her shoes were very dirty. She was planning on asking mother if she knew a good show shiner.

She heard footsteps nearing her direction, and felt someone run into her. She looked up and saw Isiah.

"This again," he smiled.

"We'll this time it's your fault," she blushed.

"Sorry, I guess I was in a hurry." He anxiously scratched the back of his neck.

"I understand. Must you be off?" she asked.

"Will you meet me at the Garrison later today? For a drink." He just asked.

"Are you asking me out?" she teased.

"We'll see," he teased. "I need to get to know you first."

"Well alright then. What time?" she asked.

"Maybe 8:00?"

She smiled. "See you then."

Oh if she could've described the look on Isiah's face after that. She knew he was a lady's man, so she didn't expect him to look as though he won the lottery. Perhaps he didn't get as many lady's as he portrayed, and besides, it wasn't even a date, or say he said.

"Oh... My... Gosh!" she heard exclaimed in her ear.

She turned around to see Daisy smiling at her, from ear to ear.

"What?" she asked. "You scared me, what are you doing here?"

"Nothing. I just saw you talking to that handsome fellow. What happened to "I don't waste my time with silly boys?" She teased.

"I don't." Leonie stated bluntly.

"So you're telling me he didn't just ask you out?!?" Daisy shouted.

"Shhh-" Leonie hushed her, bringing her index finger up to her lips. She pulled Daisy closer to her.

"He didn't ask me out. We are friends, yes. And you've got to not shout like that." Leonie blurted.

"Sorry!" Daisy said embarrassed.

"Anyways. I noticed his hat. Is he?" She started.

"He's... he's a blinder yes. It doesn't matter though." Leonie justified.

Daisy felt disappointed. She didn't like the idea of Leonie being around him.

"So are my brothers though. Doesn't make a difference. Besides, he's kind to me."

"And he's a only a friend..." Daisy started.

"Yes. Only a friend." Leonie confirmed.

"Right. Well I hope you have friend with this friend. Mum is expecting me back." Daisy said in a much more cheerful manner, the way she usually spoke.

Leonie smiled. "Alright, see you later Daisy."

Daisy was truly excited for Leonie. She had told her friends many times that she had never won the affection of the boys in France. Or for a better term, appreciated the affection.

She thought boys were silly. They played no part in the interests she had in life. Just were distractions. So Daisy was excited for her, to see her being fond about a boy's attention. Even if he was "just a friend".
