"What are you thinking about?" Billie's mom, Maggie asks the girl.
Billie lets out a low sigh, "I don't know, a lot."
Maggie gave her daughter a sympathetic smile as she pulled a glass cup out of the cabinet. And pouring Billie a glass of lemonade.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She questions while handing the girl the cup.
Billie took a sip of the cold lemonade, "I guess, it's just like—i don't know. Everything just seems so complicated right now."

"I think I might like Aurora, but I'm in a relationship with Lizz who is head over heels for me, mom."
"Well just tell Lizz how you feel, and then try and figure things out with Aurora."
"But mom, I've told Aurora multiple times that I don't like her, and that she isn't my type because I was in denial. And if I were to open up and be like 'yeah I've liked you since the day I've met you.' I don't think she would believe me."
"Billie just give it a chance—"
"I don't want to hurt her though. She's been through so much and if I were to get into a relationship with her, I don't want to do something stupid and break her. She just seems so delicate and fragile."
"I just don't know what to do mom."

It's been a while since Billie tried to talk to her mom about the situation. She's been sitting in her room alone, in the dark for some time now.
