Chapter Nine

"Should I stop smiling? Is it bad?" I ask Mina worriedly.

Suddenly she pops up with an evil grin.

"Actually I think I have the perfect person for you to smile at.."

I was a bit puzzled but nevertheless trusted Mina.

So as of right now I was walking along U. A., trying to find Bakugo.

Eventually I found a flower field with him laying down on it looking up in thought, his usual ever-present malice gone.

I knew that he wasn't always actually angry though! He just doesn't know how to express how much he likes people, that's all!

I walk over to him and lean over his face.

He jumps up making a cute little 'ah' sound.

He looks away from me so I can't see his face.

"Dumb girl shitty hair what're you doing here?" I run over in front of him with my arms behind my back, not smiling yet still a bit nervous after what it did to Denki and Mina.

"Mina gave me a makeover and told me to show it to you!" I tell him cheerily, since I know it's just Bakugo and he wont judge me.

I give him a wide sunny smile as I move forward so our faces are only about three inches apart.

"What do you think? Am I pretty?"

Bakugo's face turns about a million shades of red as he faints, falling backwards. I panicked.

Mina was wrong! He fell over too!

He seemed to be knocked out so I pulled him up onto my shoulders piggyback style and started walking back to the common room with him. Once I got to Heights Alliance I knocked on the door with my hardened head since I didn't wanna drop Bakugo.

Mina opened the door as I let go of my hardening.

She looked at me excitedly.

"How'd it go?" I look at her sadly.

"He fainted..." I tell her with a melancholy expression. "Maybe I really shouldn't smile..." I pulled him inside and plopped him onto the couch. Midoriya comes running over when I do this.

"What happened to Kacchan? Is he okay?" He started shooting rapid-fire questions. I looked down at the unconscious boy sadly.

"I smiled at him and he fainted." Midoriya froze when he heard this, looking over at me surprised.

"Huh?"

"It happens to every person I've smiled at but usually they're not out for this long." I tell him very seriously. Mina suddenly shoots over to us.
