HUNGER GAMES - DAY ONE

The day has arrived.

We had to wake up very early - 6am to be honest. For our luck we slept very well.

If I get the chance to see Lewis on the arena, I don't care about the cameras. I will fuck him because he is the first man that I truly care after dad is gone. Of course there is a chance for him to kill me, but I... I am not afraid of him. I am afraid of the others...
We dressed up, put our sneakers and got our bags. There it was a huge 12 on our clothes and our initials, FB and LT.
We split up, each one with a producer and I didn't even said a proper goodbye to Lewis.

As I was with the production, Lenny got inside the corridor to give me another lucky charm.
- Hey, Fernanda! Where is Lewis?
- Went away with someone else. This is where we will enter?
- Yeah, on this tube you will enter the arena. Use this to protect your lips and avoid poisonous stings. It's a lipbalm and it gets the color you say. Test it.
- Hmmm, okay. Mauve. - it really turned mauve! And I used it. My lips were stunning. I kept it on my pocket.

As I got inside the tube I grabbed my two small blades and some shurikens. Had to put them inside a pocket from the overall. The tube got up and there we were. All of the participants into a platform and this huge clock on the sky. Three minutes to start. My heart beat started to go faster.
I was trying to find Lewis. He was the fifth one from my right. I saw him and he saw me. He used lip reading to give me instructions.
- Don't go to the middle! There is plenty of food and weapons, but don't go! Run away with me!
I just nodded. 1 minute to go. Everyone was in position and the girl from District 4, Vic De Angelis, was waiting to attack me.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

A siren was used... And it's that. It has begun. We got out of the platforms and now it's one for each other. I ran to another direction, where Lewis was heading to, but Vic attacked me with a whip.
Lewis stopped but Sebastian saw him still.
- RUN LEWIS, GO!! - I screamed. He ran away from Sebastian. Meanwhile I got rid of the whip and used my blade for the first time, to cut it off. She ran after me and I even saw Melanie throwing something on my direction - it went to the ground. I ran as much as I could from Vic, but she was faster than me and grabbed my ponytail. She was about to cut my throat with a knife, but I used my blade to defend it. I cut her pulse so deep that she fell onto the ground bleeding.
- Cazzo! Damiano!! - She started to scream in... Is it italian? They speak italian in District 4?
Anyway, I ran as fast as I could, away from Vic... But Melanie was my shadow.
- High score, huh? I will get ya, Fernanda! - She said while she was using a bow and arrow, shooting into a Bee Hive.
- Now run from this, bitch!!!
She ran away and the bees were near me. Oh shit, I hate bees. I started to run from them, as far as I could, and climbed on top of a tree. There, I put some lipstick on my mouth and the bees went away. I didn't avoid to get a sting on my arm. It hurts so much... I will not faint!

Okay, now it's time to hide from the others. I found a little cave in the woods and there I stood still for some time... While I was removing the bee wound. It was so painful, so painful that I dropped on the floor and passed out.

Some hours later, I heard a lot of fireworks. Robin told me and Lewis that each death is a bomb. At the end of the day they tell us on the Sky Screen the ones who passed away. I hope Lewis is not in that list... Wait.

I heard someone screaming in italian. Is it Vic?

No, it's a male.
- Fernanda? VIENE QUI PUTANNA!!
- What the fuck did he say??? Oh shit.
It was starting to get dark... Hunt someone in it will be hard.
I could tell he was pissed. I think I killed Vic. I must go away or I will be found by him.

I got away from the cave and started to search for Lewis. But I could not scream for his name or else I would be found. Then I saw Damiano. He stopped by a river to drink some water. He saw a girl from District 10 and killed her. Another boom sound came on. Shit, they don't give a fuck.
- OMG, where are you Lewis? - I though out loud. Damiano heard me but he could not find me. So I grabbed him from behind with my blade and I didn't have a choice but to ask him.
- Where is Lewis Tan???
- Che?
- Lewis Tan????
- You... Look... I don't know where he is.
- TELL. ME. NOW. WHERE IS LEWIS TAN?
- I don't know where he is!
- Bullshit. - He tried to release himself from my arms but I trained so hard that I could hold him. I used my blade and cut off his throat... Damn.

I killed two people. And from the same District.

Now I have blood in hands. Another blow came up. And it's from Damiano.
I got away from there immediately, because when I killed him, it triggered something onto the rocks. They started to crack and fall on my direction. Shit!! I had to runaway fast or get smashed.

Thank God I got rid of the rocks. Now I need to focus and start to hide... I heard another blow. Shit!!! I hope it's not Lewis... I found out a hiding spot, so I grabbed my sack to sleep and laid down there. The night was coming and we had to take some rest. There was no blowing ups anymore.

We heard a music coming up from everywhere.
On the sky there was the ones who got killed on the first day.
- District 4: Damiano David and Vic De Angelis.
- District 6: Jemima Kirke and Alain Moussi.
- District 9: Yvonne Chapman.
- District 10: Olivia Cheng and Jason Tobin.
May they rest in peace. For Panem. Hunger Games day one finished.

I still don't know how I survived but here I am.
