Rainbows and Butterflies

As she lied in her bed Fluttershy couldn't stop thinking about that kiss with Rainbow Dash. It was incredible she never knew a kiss could feel so good. Did she like her? Yes but no not like that she couldn't. Could she? But even if she did there's no way Rainbow would like her that way. They had a special bond as long as they knew each other. But they were only friends, best friends to be exact, that's all they were, they could never be more than that. She tossed and turned but she couldn't get her mind to settle. She found a few Mares to be attractive but no Mare had ever taken an interest in her

When a Stallion would ask her out (which wasn't that often) she would accept for the most part. Except for finding a date for a party she usually doesn't make a move. If ever asked she would accept a date from a Mare but again that has never happened. Enough Ponies in town have seen her with Stallions that everypony assumes she's straight, at least that's what Fluttershy herself has come to think. In truth she doesn't know, in her early years she was lucky enough to not encounter any bad Stallions she couldn't say no to sex but the guys who asked (which was rare) wouldn't do it because they won't comfortable, she could assert herself now

Tradition was that when a Mare was in heat it was the responsibility of the Stallion to fulfil her needs. She wasn't a non-traditionalist by choice she had more confidence and could assert herself in other areas of her life now but not sex. The Stallions who got close enough won't comfortable because ether they could tell she wasn't or they wanted a dominating Mare. But all of this is beside the point that Rainbow Dash was a player who got what she wanted (that was before tonight even way) and Fluttershy was not what she wanted or Mares for that matter.
