Natasha POV
Lilith, Steve and I were on a mission. We were suppose to take down another Hydra facility and at the beginning everything was fine until we were about to leave. Lilith and I were fighting hydra agents when one of them hold a gun to me from my back. "Mom watch out" I hear Lilith warned me and before I could react she was in front of me, I hear a gun shoot and see the agent falling dead to the floor. Lilith look down at her stomach and bring a hand up, it had blood, HER blood. My eyes widen and I turn her around and see the gun shoot wound. I gasp hard. She manage to kill the guy but before she did it he shot her anyways. "Nonono. LILITH WAS SHOOT I NEED HELP NOW" "I'm on my way, Nat" I hear Steve trough the coms. She let's a shaky breath out and looks at me with fear in her eyes "Ma-ma" she was about to fall but I catch her before she hit the ground. I hold my baby girl in my arms making pressure in the wound to try and stop the bleeding. "Heyhey detka, look at me. You are going to be okay sweetie, ok" "I'm feeling tired mama" My eyes started to get glossy and I could see my vision getting blurry because of the tears forming on them. I shake my head no and hold her face with my free hand "No malyshka, you can't close your eyes okay. You are not allowed to died nor today, nor tomorrow not ever understood. You need to be awake baby. Uncle Steve is on his way" "Mama I want to close my eyes for a while" "NO, YOU NEED TO STAY AWAKE. You can't die baby girl, you are my everything, I don't know what am I going to do with out you" My tears started to fall and she with the little strength that she had. She raised a hand to my face and started to wipe the tears away and she whisper to me "Don't cry mama. Everything is going to be alright, just remember I'll always loved you" I took her hand and squeeze it and give it a kiss on the back "I love you malyshka. Please stay awake for me. For mama" Right in that moment Steve comes running trough the door and quickly took Lilith in his arms. We made our way to the quinjet and Steve lay her down on the floor and went to the front of the quinjet to find something to wrap her wound to control the blood lost. When he came back, he hand me a towel and I started to wrap my baby girl stomach. She groan in pain "It hurts mom" "I know honey, I know. We are going back to the tower now, you going to be okay" she looks at me with tears in her eyes and whispers to me "Mama... I-I-I I'm sorry" I rub her cheek and brushed her hair red curly hair with my fingers "You don't need to be sorry malyshka, you did nothing wrong" "I'm scared mama I don't want to die" Right there I wanted to cry so bad, but I needed to be strong for her. I put my forehead in hers and whisper "I'm not going to let you die baby, okay. You are going to be alright. Don't be scared dorogoy, mummy is here" all of a sudden she close her eyes and fall to a unconscious state. I started to shake her "Nonono, malyshka stay with me baby. Open your eyes for mama Please" "STEVE WE NEED TO FLIGHT THIS THING FASTER, I'M LOSING HER. LILITH OPEN YOUR EYES GODDAMMIT" I started to feel nervous and terrified, I couldn't lose my baby. No. She is everything to me. Her arrival in my life made me a better person and I can't loose my little angel. I started to look for a pulse and thank God, she still had it. It was weak but it was there. I lean down close to her ear "Please don't die malyshka. Mama needs you in her life. Please stay with me"
"Nat were here" I hear Steve and started to feel the quinjet landing. When the doors of the quinjet open I took by baby in my arms bridal style and take her outside to a stroller that Bruce take out for her. We took her inside and I wanted to be with her but Bruce stop me "Nat listen to me, I know that you are scared but she will be fine. I need you to stay in the living room while me and Tony do our job ok" Even if I didn't want to I knew that it was best that way so I nodded and tell him "Tell me when your finish, please" he nods and I look how he walk away to the med bay with my baby girl.
Time skip. Bruce finish with Lilith
I was impatiently walking around the living room when FRIDAY voice sounded trough the room "Agent Romanoff, Doctor Banner ask for your presence in the med bay" "Thank you FRIDAY. I'm on my way" I took the elevator to the med bay and burst to the doors "What happen?Where is she?Is she okay?" "Calm down Nat, she is fine. Everything went well and now she is resting" I exhale relief "Can I see her?" He nods "Come with me" We walk trough the halls of the med bay until we stop in front of a door "She is here, I'll leave you alone with her" Before Bruce walk away I embrace him in a hug "Thank you" "No need Nat, she is my niece after all" We pull away and I went inside of the room. Surprisingly Lilith was awake. "Hey sweetie" "Hi mama" She look at me with a smile on her face and open her arms. I smiled back and went to her side and accepted her hug and return it "Don't you ever scare me like that. You hear me" I pull away and hold her face in my hands "That bullet was supposed to be for me. Why did you jump in front of me dorogoy?" She sigh and raise her hands to take mines off of her face and hold them tight. She look at me with those beautiful green eyes and said "If it would had being the other way around, and that bullet was for me. Would you have done the same?" "Yes honey because I'm your m-" she cut me off "Your my mom and your job is to protect me, and I'm your daughter and I'm suppose to protect you and take care of you just the same way as you do for me" "And I'm grateful for that detka. I'm really am. But I almost lost you because of it" she took a deep breath "When I saw the guy aiming the gun on your way I got scared and panic, I didn't think twice. When I jump in front of you, I wanted to protect you by any cause necessary, I didn't think about what could had happen to me, I didn't care. I just wanted you safe. I'm really really sorry for giving you probably the worst fear you could ever had" she squeezed my hands and give them a kiss on the back and look at me with loved in her eyes and continue talking "But I don't regret it" "Yes you give me a really big and terrifying scare but you safe me. And I will always be thankful for that, and even more because is not the first time. You detka, since the day I held you in my arms for the first time, you made me feel safe and secure that nothing bad could happen to me if you were around. You were and still are my little guardian angel" A tear escape my eyes and she wipe it away. She move a little bit on the bed to make space for me on her side to lay down with her. I do it and hold my baby girl in my arms tight "I love you so so much baby girl" I pepper her face with lots of kisses. She giggles and tighten the hug and squish her nose "I love you too mama"
