3~ New Girl

My phone was ringing and the only people who know that I am somewhat talking and know what I am and know how to contact me are Mr. and Mrs. Morris. I groaned as I reached for the still ringing phone. "Hello?" I asked my voice is weak still and full of sleep. "Good Morning dear" Mrs. Morris's happy voice rang through the phone. "What did I do?" I sighed and she giggled "dear, how are you going to get to school?" She asked "Walk" I said.

"Well I could always get-" I cut her off. "No, Tyler cannot drive me to school we aren't supposed to know each other, and I don't need a ride so I will talk to you after school, bye" with that I hung up the phone. I rolled out of bed, stripped out of my pajamas, took a shower, got dressed in jeans, my shirt that says 'ain't got nothin on me', combat boots, and put my hair up in a ponytail before I was out the door with my backpack on. On my 15 minute walk to school my earbuds had managed to find their place in my ears, blasting random songs. By the time I got there I began to feel sick, there where way to many power lines near the front of the school, but unfortunately I had to push back my sick feeling and continue on.

I categorized everyone, and here is my list of people to stay away from: EVERYONE. This school is full of humans, but thank the moon goddess for a few wolf staff members. I entered the office and instantly knew there was a female wolf in the room. I looked around until I saw her. Oh My.... She turned around and squealed "Veronica" I smiled slightly at her. 'Hi Nell' I mind link her as I walked over and hugged her. Nell was my Best friend next to Tyler, of course.

"Your still not talking? How long are you staying?" She asked with a hint of sadness 'somewhat and a long time' I replied. "Why?" There is a hint of suspicion behind her question.

'Becauseifoundmymate' I told her quickly and quietly. Nell being... well......Nell, understood what I said. "When, where, who, how, Veronica tell me" I sighed before taking a seat. 'Okay, I just came back yesterday, and I had caught his scent, well I followed it all the way back here and found out it's..' I trailed off when I saw Tyler walk by the office door. I guess Nell saw who I was watching and her face lit up.

"No way" she squealed "your mates with Tyler?" She asked. 'Yes' I said quietly. Three....two...one. "OMG THIS IS SO AWESOME!" She squealed. I could feel myself pailing from the sudden rush of energy from the power lines.

'I think I'm going to be sick' with that I got up a darted to the girls bathroom. I threw up for the first time in my life, Nell was soon with me rubbing my back soothingly. "Shh it's okay" she whispered. 'No it's not Nell, I have been living in the middle of the woods in England and then the sudden change back into the area with humans' I paused. 'Well let's say that my wolf isn't taking it to well.'

'Amber are you okay?' I asked my wolf 'we'll be fine once we see Tyler or we get far away from the power' she said weakly. 'This is probably going to hurt me, but I need my schedule matching to Tyler's.' I thought about it and said 'but I want PE and Art' she nodded in understanding. I slowly got off the ground right as the bell rang and me and Nell walked through the empty hallways back to the office.

I sat there for what felt like ages and I heard the bell for first periods release just a minute ago. Great I missed first period and I'm going to be late to second. I slumped in my seat as I waited for Nell to get to me with my schedule, I mean how hard is that to do? I got out of my seat fuming and walked to go find Nell.

She was behind the desk smiling away at me, the computer shutdown. I raised my eyebrow in question and she only grinned wider. I began to get butterflies in my stomach from unwanted suspicion from Nell. The bell rang and she rose from her seat behind the desk, grabbed her bag, but told me "have fun with your mate" then she made a mad dash for the door. I wanted to scream, but instead I bit my tongue.

We are both 18 and I still act more mature. I sat back down where I was originally sitting and put my head down. I slightly jumped when I heard him speak "may I help you?" I picked up my head and looked at him 'yes' Amber purred in my head and I wanted to do the same thing, but I can't. I shook my head 'no' "what's your name?" He pressed on.

I pulled out my schedule that Nell had oh-so-gracefully gave me before she left. "Veronica, hmm, I had a friend named Veronica she had moved away to England, I think, she had lost both of her parents and her three older brothers, she stopped talking too, I miss her" I started crying. He looked at me like I was crazy but I don't care for once in my life someone told me they missed me. I took out a piece of paper and wrote down 'pleaѕe eхcυѕe мe' he nodded and I got up and ran outside to the football field. Uh, today is going to be a long day.
