6~ The time is here

*Tyler*

I was freaking out when I heard my mom screaming outside. Me and Nell ran out of the house to see mom being held back by dad as they both cried. I looked to who my mom was trying to get to "Veronica" I whispered and I seen a few tears had escaped her beautiful eyes and she looked to a panicked Nell and nodded. "I have to" she said and I was surprised that she is talking but what she said next got me confused "I'm so sorry but you know I have to in order to keep you safe, I love you all and I'll try to stay alive and come back" what did she mean by try to stay alive?

Before I could ask her what she meant I watched as she transformed, every bone in her body cracked and shifted to a different place, she got on all fours as her skin was replaced with fur and hands and feet with paws, her nose transformed into a snout and her ears came to a point on her head, a tail she had and I was freaking out, my panic mode made it seem slower than it really was, everyone looked not freaked out but much rather that they were used to it. She was beautiful, a wolf I guess they really do exist but how long have I been kept from this secret?

She ran off into the woods and I was afraid, my life, every fairy tale just happened right before my eyes. My mother screamed at her retreating wolf but she never looked back. First I find out that the new girl is, was my best friend, then I find out she's not even human, what's next? Nell howled beside me, and a howl in the distance called back to her. "Nell are you.....?" I trailed off and she cried before whispering "it's time" and went inside the house with my parents in tow.

After a few minutes I went into the house where everyone else was seating and sat down away from everyone else trying to soak up what just happened but I can't seem to get it to sink in. "Tyler" my fathers voice brought me back to reality and all I did was look at him never speaking a word and my mother sobbed into his chest "I know you have questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability" he said and I faintly nodded "how long?"

This seemed to confuse him "how long what?" He frowned "how long have you known?" He sighed and said "we were friends with her parents long before you born, we have known about her being a werewolf since she was born" he said and that hurt "why did you never tell me?" I could feel my anger rising slowly when he didn't answer me "why did she leave?" Nell spoke up this time "Tyler calm yourself, this is not her fault" there was something in her voice that was off from her normal happy and cheerful tone. I sat back in my seat and she sighed "Tyler, Veronica left a long time ago to protect us, she has some people after her and she would do anything to keep us safe, even if includes giving her life up" she got quiet near the end but I still heard her. "Who is after her Nell?" I began to worry "hunters" a tear slipped down her cheek "she never told you why she came back did she?" I shook my head "those hunters followed her to England and killed her last known relatives, her grandparents, she's hunted Tyler, but she's a warrior." She tried so hard not to cry.

"She wants you to live your human life, not in her life, she wants to let you go Tyler but she can't, it's one thing she's not strong enough to do" I didn't understand and my mother stopped crying long enough to say "you and Veronica are soul bound, and she doesn't want to turn you because she's afraid you will hate her" I got out of my seat and remembered "those people who killed her parents in our front yard...were they....?" My dad finished "hunters? I'm afraid so" I turned to Nell and asked "what is Veronica doing?" She looked up through teary eyes and spoke ever so softly "it's called Hunter plan A, you played it with us but always thought of it as a game but in reality it was her plan to get the hunters away from the pack, from you and everyone she cared about" I thought about it and the memory flashed before my eyes.

*Flashback*

"Okay Tyler your a monster after me and Nell" I began to act like a monster and they ran away from me, but they then split directions and I chased after Veronica for some reason, she kept running until she was so far from Nell and then said "Hunter plan A engage" she then turned around. She watched my every move even after I captured her, she watched for my weaknesses, and for anything to use to her advantage to escape the prison I had her locked away in.

*End of flashback*

Every strategy she used couldn't have been the only ones in her plan but instead was only a small part of it. I looked to Nell with a frowning confusion, and she whispered "Hunter plan A engaged" a tear slipped down her cheek.
