Chapter 25

Chapter 25: Ramen

It was in the afternoon where Nishikata and Takagi-san where casually walking home together like always. With the constant teasing of course. 

"I win again Nishikata~" She teased his pride as Nishikata would get displeased on not winning another game with her again.

"Yeah...I know."  He tried to shrug it off since she had total advantage from the start. Classic Takagi-san.

"Now for your punishment-"

Takagi-san's  stomach growled. Making it enough for Nishikata to hear it from a short distance.

"Huh...She's hungry. Well if that's the case."  Nishikata is scheming up another contest to tease her back. Hoping this time he's the one who'll win.

"I didn't each much from lunch haven't I?" Takagi-san asked herself while Nishikata responded.

"I suppose so. Maybe we can go to that shop near that alleyway over there." Nishikata suggested. Starting the operation at hand.

"You're always caring for me huh?" Takagi-san was noticing his kindhearted spirit most of the days when they hangout. Which gives her new ways to tease him at most.

"I knew she would tease me again. L-lets just go." 

Without any hesitation, the both immediately went inside of the shop. Though Nishikata might struggle finding a solution to tease her back, Takagi-san was just having fun. Which benefits her in no absolute loss at all.

"So what do you want?" Nishikata asked her. Assuming she's craving for something around the several aisles. 

"Hm.....How about ramen?"

"Ramen? You sure?"

"Mhm. It's just a snack I'm looking for." She said in a light tone.

"This reminds me of something....oh yeah." He remembers the time where after Takagi-san had beat him in dodgeball a few years ago, she would tease him because of ramen. More so, a date.

"Are you hungry as well Nishikata?" Takagi-san asked. Assuming he might be starving later on without realizing.

"As a matter of fact, yes I am."

"I see. Well what are you getting from this shop?" 

"Um...ramen as well."

"You want to have another contest, do you Nishikata?" She had a feeling that he would have the same meal as her. To her expectation, she already has the upper hand on him.

"Eh- How did you know?" He wasn't expecting her to spoil the contest yet he still underestimated her as well.

"It's pretty obvious from the start. Also, it looks like you're trying to impress me which is a straight give away."

"Sigh...Of course it is- WAIT WHAT!!?? Me trying to impress you?" Nishikata got embarrassed on how the conversation escalated quickly.

"This is why I love your reactions Nishikata!!" She giggles constantly at his reckless actions. As much as it irritates Nishikata, what can you possibly excuse it for truly.

"She's never changing isn't she?"

After that dramatic moment, they both buy ramen and sit in a table outside of the shop. 

"I can't let this pass out. I got to try even if she already knows a majority of the contest." Nishikata didn't want to lose again even if it means getting teased by her countless times. He's never given up yet Takagi-san is always one step ahead of him.
