Thomas was probably one of the biggest fans of Dylan O'brien. He had never had the opportunity to see him in real life but would give anything to be able to.
Yesterday, he turned 24. He celebrated his birthday with a few friends and family members, eating cake and dancing to silly music till late at night. It was probably the best birthday he ever had since his best friends all bought him together a ticket for one of Dylan's comic con. It was Teen Wolf related since it was about the latest season of the popular show and Thomas could not be any happier.
Days, weeks, months passed and finally the day Thomas had been waiting for arrived. The Teen Wolf comic con. He got up super early, determined to make himself look decent. He didn't want to make himself look ridiculous in front of his celebrity crush. He had prepared a few questions to ask Dylan if he was able to gather the courage to take the mic and ask him once he would be there. This was a once in a lifetime experience and he didn't want to fuck it up.
He quickly packed a lunch and left his house to walk to the building where the meeting was taking place. He was so excited and could barely contain his happiness. A wide smile was plastered on his face and the strangers walking by were looking at him as if he was crazy. Was it a crime to be happy? He ignored everybody and kept on walking, ten minutes later stopping dead in his tracks at the sight in front of him.
There was at least a hundred people forming a straight line, waiting in front of the building. The meeting started at two in the afternoon. How was it possible that so many people were already gathered here? Was he the last one? Will they be able to fit in there? He shook his worries away and put himself behind a girl with long blonde hair. And then, he waited.
Five hours later and the doors were opened for them. Slowly, they started entering, checking if everyone had there tickets and Thomas clutched his own in his hand tightly. For some reason, he started asking himself dumb ass questions. Was his ticket real? Was it a fake? Could his friends have pranked him and he actually thought it was real? No, his friends weren't like that, right? Did they need to see his ID? Shit, did he even have it on him?
He searched his pocket quickly, seeing as it was nearly his turn and couldn't find his ID anywhere. His palms were sweaty and he looked terrified as it was finally his turn. He ended his ticket to the smiling lady in front of him with shaky hands. She took it carefully and scanned the code on it, her machine beeping loudly as she checked what it said.
"Calm down, pumpkin." the lady spoke up, handing him the ticket again with a gentle smile. "Everything is going to be fine. Don't panic and make sure to eat and drink enough to avoid fainting." she adviced and tried reassuring him. It worked and he took the ticket from her hand with a small smile.
"Okay, thank you." he replied and she winked at him as he walked inside the building and followed the directions given by a scary dude standing at the entrance. He walked upstairs to the first floor and entered the first room to the left. A stage with tables on it stood at the front, facing hundred of chairs. Thomas looked down at his ticket and saw the number on it, searching for his chair.
He bumped into a few people, apologising quickly as he searched for his seat. Finally after a while, he found it. Third row, middle seat right next to the alley that seperated the crowd of chairs. He sat down, looking up at the stage and his eyes fell on the name tag right in front of him. Tyler Posey. His heart started beating faster. Because if Tyler was sat there, that meant Dylan would be close to him. He looked at the name tag next to Tyler's and saw Holland Roden written on it. He sighed and looked on the other side of Tyler's name and read Dylan O'brien.
A wide smile spread on his lips and he had to hold back a squeal. He had waited for this moment for so long. He was the happiest man alive right at this moment. A girl sat down next to him on his left and he looked at her. She looked at him and stared for a while without saying anything.
