" Well as much as our kind may not agree with yours, Thank you for having mercy on my daughter." she said and bowed then hurried off elsewhere into the market.

I looked over where there were more eyes on me and some people whispering. I climbed out of the fountain quickly and grabbed my bag from the ground Strapping it around my waist so as not to lose it again. I bent over to wring my now soaked dress removing as much water as I could. Then walked away from the scene. People moved out of the way quickly, still whispering.

"Did you see that a mortal scum actually helped a demon girl? How did she get into our kingdom? Honestly she must be a spy for those holy angels," some sneered at me. I kept my head low til I saw a stand with scarves. " Um, excuse me how much for one?" I said, An old beast stold up with a wrinkled snout and fangs protruding from it's lips. It grinned. "One coin." Its voice was far from expected Soft and Happy. I gave him a coin and he gave me a scarf from a hook behind him. "Thank you sir," I wrapped it around my head to help get the attention off me. He smiled more.

"Here, try this too." It was a small bottle that resembled perfume and he sprayed me. " Hey what the-?" I looked down and saw the damp dress dry and water evaporated off of me. "Oh thank you again." I smiled and gave him five coins. He smiled and gave me the bottle. "More than it's worth, but I won't argue." I nodded and walked away placing the bottle in my bag and began resuming this exploration.

I walked around further til I came upon the path that led to the castle. There was a crowd of demons facing a gate that led to it and peered over to see what the commotion was. There were those horns again from before. The trumpets. And drums. Then there were flags. That had Symbols and sigils that resembled ones We had in my world. But still different. Then everyone bowed. Someone pulled me down. It was the demon who gave me the bottle from before. He smiled and nodded.

I peaked up to see horses walk pask and guards then an open carriage with someone veiled and covered in gold. Shining under the sun glamorously embodying what resembled a king. People began to throw flowers and stood walking away to do their civil duties.soon my group did as well. The old man gave me a rose to throw. And I did but I threw a bit too hard and the rose landed on the carriage right by the King's foot. He picked up the rose and set it in his gowns sleeve.

Another day being the King's replacement. ''I swear being a prince is too complicated.'' "Sire, are you ready for the people's greeting." my guard said. "Yes Theo, Let's head out." He grunted and rode up to the front with the other guards. As we left for the gate I placed the veil crown on my head and watched as the crowd of people celebrated in my presence, unknowing it's their prince but they still carried on. Throwing their flowers and goods my handmaidens picked them up and gathered their tokens behind my carriage on foot.
