Chapter 12

Wilbur POV:

Tommy's story was heartbreaking, I had a feeling he didn't tell us everything, but we didn't push it.

When Techno and Tommy went upstairs, Phil and I wanted to come up with something fun to take Tommy's mind away from what had happened.

I hear footsteps coming from the staircase and see the others coming back down, I couldn't help but wonder what they were talking about.

I decide not to ask though, and I tell Tommy our idea.

"Tommy!" I start saying, "We just came up with something fun we could do today!"

"Okay, what is it?" I hear him say.

"Let's do a family movie night!"

Techno roles his eyes.

"Come on!" I continue saying, "It'll be fun! We'll get some candy and set up a bunch of blankets and pillows, it'll be awesome!"

"Fine." Techno says, giving into my idea.

"Tommy what movie do you wanna watch?" I hear Phil say.

"Umm...." Tommy starts saying, "I don't know many movies..." He says quietly.

Damn that's sad.

We'll fix that though, this family watches quite a lot of movies. But what kid hasn't seen many movies?! Movies are awesome.

I snap out of my thoughts and realize the awkward silence that's going on.

"Well..." I say, trying to break the quiet, "What about the movie 'up'?" I ask.

Tommy's eyes light up, "My old friend told me about that movie, I totally forgot! I really wanna watch it!"

I haven't really seen Tommy getting this excited about something yet so it kind of surprises me.

Phil and Techno don't really like the movie as much, but as soon as they see how excited Tommy is about it, they immediately say yes.

"Up it is!" Phil says happily.

"Tommy and I could go get some candy from the corner store while you guys set up the blankets and pillows and such!" I hear Techno say.

"Sounds like a plan!" I reply.
