"𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒? 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐋𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓?" Asked Charity Blackwood, Isis' mother. Isis nodded her head, poking at her food with her fork. "Yeah, I'm alright," she murmured. But she wasn't. She couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen at that party.

But she couldn't tell her parents. They were just going to use it against her. Anything she told them just got turned into a lecture, so she gave up.

Dominic narrowed his eyes at his daughter. He didn't like those friends of hers. They were only going to get her into trouble. He had heard all about the party and made sure that Isis was going to stay home. He didn't want her out drinking and partying, especially when she was underage.

She couldn't bring shame to their family. The Blackwood's weren't one of the founding families, but they were an influential family. Their wealth even rivalled the Lockwood family.

Isis hated it.

Sure, she loved the money, but she sometimes wished that she was part of a normal family so she didn't have to keep up her appearances. But she outright rebelled, wearing clothes that her father didn't approve of, such as short skirts, boots, crop tops, chokers, etc. She dyed her hair wild colours, but her latest look was purple.

She would never forget the enraged look on his face when he first found out. Surprisingly, her mother didn't really say anything. She had probably given up, as she should. It was her body and therefore her choice.

"You aren't worried about this little party, are you?" Dominic asked, raising a brow at his daughter. Isis looked up. "No, I'm just not feeling hungry. A little stressed about school," she answered quickly with a chuckle, scratching her inner wrist. Where her mark was. Dominic didn't agree with the whole concept.

It seemed incredibly invasive, but he had since come to terms with it, even though it bothered him. He hoped that whoever her soulmate was didn't arrive for a very long time. He cleared his throat and took a sip of his expensive red wine.

He knew that her soul mark  was a sensitive subject for her, so he had to go about this in the right way. "So... have you had your dreams yet?" He asked casually. "Dominic!" Charity hissed, but he just ignored his wife. Isis clenched her hands around her utensils. "You know I've been having these dreams since I was sixteen dad," she growled out, making Dominic frown. "Don't use that tone with me, young lady. I'm only asking a question," he said slowly.
