XVIII :: Neon Nex

"Okay explain me everything..."

"Absolutely. So in this game, we're together. We have to win against all other pro players to get to that castle, abode the clouds. There stays Nex. We are to defeat her." Y/n explained the basics of the VR game.
"So it's like Jumanji?" Asked Namjoon.
"Similar. But no one gets stuck here. You all have 1 life and hopefully, you'll be able to make it atleast upto her castle."

"What happens if we lose our lives?" Asked Jimin.
"Your game ends. You won't be able to participate anymore. If all of us lose, my rank falls down." Said Y/n.
"What's your rank?" I asked.
"2nd. Now let's get into it."

I had a lilac, two piece suit, Y/n's one was maroon and the rest, according to their age, had navy, turquoise, yellow, orange, baby blue, green and red suits.

"We should divide ourselves based on our stats." Said Taehyung.
"Phoenix, Valgazza, Syrthe and Arges are the war machines. Craniax, Cannon and Minotaur are controllers and Panache is the weapons dispenser. Elexia is the knowledge Bank." Said Y/n.
"So what will be our grouping?" Asked Jin.

"Archi is having the map. Bring it out." Said Y/n.
"Hmm..." I said and brought out the map, I don't remember carrying.
"Tell us the locations. No one but Elexia has the access to the map. You got the smartest character of this game. Jungkook got the strongest one and Jimin the fastest." Said Y/n.

"It shows that the east is full of competitors. The west would be an easier road but it's rugged." I read out the details.
"We're taking the west." Said Jungkook.

We started making our way towards the west. The path through the forest looked so real that I almost forgot it was VR. Minotaur was a shapeshifter and had turned into a sports SUV for us, making the journey faster.

"How do we cross this?" Asked Namjoon.
"Craniax, you're having teleportation power. Teleport to that side. Panache and I can fly. Minotaur can decrease his size and Cannon can run fast." Y/n said the easiest way for them to cross the open crevice in the land that would be atleast 40 km above.

"And us?" Asked Jin.
"Tae you should be able to control the land. Use it." Taehyung abided by my instruction and built a rocky bridge over the crack. The bridge was strong but unstable which had high chances of breaking.

"It'll break." Jungkook stepped on the bridge which broke small pieces off itself.
"Jin, you have to walk first."
"Me?"
"Hmm. Walk exactly 10 steps. Tae, stand at the beginning of the bridge." Jin took 10 conscious steps on the bridge.

"Jungkook, start walking and cross Jin with 10 more steps." Jungkook walked exactly 20 steps from the beginning.
"Alright, Tae, you'll be walking 10 steps more from Jungkook's position." Taehyung crossed Jungkook and stopped 10 steps away from the end.

"Okay Jungkook, walk to the end and Jin walk to his as I take your place." I walked to Jin's position as Jungkook walked to the end. He relaxed his breath at the end of the bridge.

"Alright, Jin walk to the end." Jin crossed the bridge with slow and gradual steps. Only Taehyung and I were left on the bridge. We had no opponents but Nex because no one took the west coast.

"Taehyung, we have to be fast. You walk to the end and I walk to you place." I had a risk of falling but it doesn't matter as long as they can pass through it.
"But you'll fall. You're using equivalent pressure theory here, right? If I walk 10 steps and you walk 20 steps, you'll fall." Taehyung guessed the theory correct but one of us has to risk.

"Taehyung, either of us has to pass this. You're closer to the end so you shall walk. Don't miss the timing." I warned. He gave a dissatisfied look but started walking his 10 steps to the end with equal speed as Jin whereas I walked at a faster pace.
