part thirty eight

I walked in the cover of darkness as jades house came into view. Liana refused to watch as i killed jade, but i still had time to get there. I carefully opened the door and stepped in, the light blinding me. I ran up the stairs and skinned drago in his sleep, he was long dead anyway, since i cut his throat. Now its jades turn.

I brought spike with me, so she could make it seem like drago was down there cooking. As jade awoke, i slunk into the shadows. "Drago?" She said as she saw what i did. "Hes never going to wake up, so i suggest that you give up." I said as i stepped out of the shadows, knife in hand. "What did you do! He was my mate!" My heart yearned for her death. I gave it to it. I jumped on top of her and yelled, "you killed my mate and you will pay. Your whole family will. I swore to my mate that i would protect him and you of all people jade, you killed him. You were my best and only friend. Now you will die for Airos. My mate, your life." I dug my knife into her swolen stomach, killing her children. "No! I didnt kill him!" She pleaded and i jabbed her chest, rendering her dead. Suddenly, my heart stopped. I just killed my best friend and her mate, even her unborn children! What is wrong with me?! 'You felt hatred towards your friend when she killed your mate. You knew what had to be done. But yet you feel sadness and sorrow towards her. Why is that?' A farmiliar voice said as tears rolled down my face. "She was my friend and i killed her and her mate. I am a monster and i know that but why did i have to kill two unborn pups?" Liana howled and cryed in sadness. What have i done?

' i know how you feel.' I looked to my side to see luna, the moon godess, beside me. ' the reason i am the moon godess, or the godess of love is because this is what happened to me. My mate was slaughtered by dragons and i have felt hate towards them ever since. Now i realize that im not the only one.'  "But i cant bring any of them back. I will never be able to forgive myself if i lived and they are all dead. Even my wolf will never forgive me. How is it that i can live with the weight of my friend's and mate's bodies on my shoulders? I would never be able to." I cryed and shifted, flying off into the bush.

Liana continued to howl, and i gave up all hope of silence. A loud, sorrow filled howl came from my mouth, many wolves joining in from everywhere. They recognized my pain and would always be there for me. They were my pack.

I am their alpha.

Nothing can change that. Not death, not horror, not any of the other packs. I Am Their ALPHA!
