After a few weeks of hard training with Strange and Natasha, I was so grateful for the night of the party. The team was busy most of the day, running in and out. Calling different company's while Natasha was briefing security for everyone. Loki had been gone most of the day, He'd left early the morning leaving me a note. I was upset for him not waking me up, but he'd instructed me to not mind link him. So I decided to call Rachel to hang out with him, which she was very eager to do so. Tony had put in a transfer for her to permanently stay with us at the tower.
It was rolling closer to the party, yet we were snacking and watching reruns of a ghost hunting show. Because I was refusing to watch the News casting with comments about the party and the new Avenger being announced.
"Have you thought of a name?" Rachel asked, munching on a handful of popcorn.
"I don't want a different name. I think just calling me Casenovia is fine, but Tony thinks it's not good enough." I grumbled, still snuggled in my pajama pants. She nodded in agreement, earning a playful kick from me.
"Come on, you need something cool like-" She pursed her lips, looking off into nothing. "like- Dark Element." She waved her hands around giving a dramatic flair, I roared in laughter.
"You keep saying names like that around Tony and he'll make you the permanent name maker."
Both of us giggling, I wanted to tell Loki the newest name choice that Rachel had suggested. Pouting I went against it, turning my attention back to the TV. For a while, it was just us giggling together until a knock came from the door.
"If that is Nat coming to drag me out for my opinion on flowers again, I'm going to teleport myself off this roof." I groaned; Rachel laughed while I jumped up to open the door. Thor stood in front of me, his eyes gleaming and his smile wide. "Thor?" I laughed while he scooped me up in a hug, his laugh loudly echoing in my ear.
"Hello Princess!" Thor laughed, Rachel jumping to her feet straightening out her shirt. "Have you seen Loki?" He finally set me down, patting my head adoringly. Looking past me to grin at Rachel, then back down.
"He left this morning, not sure when he will be back. There's a party tonight though, are you staying?" Rachel piped up from behind us, I smirked to myself.
"Oh, I would not miss a celebration, but I do need to speak with my brother. Lady Cass, why did you both leave in the early hours? I would have come sooner; except I was occupied with courtly duties." Thor seemed bored at the idea of working in the courts, but my heart ached for Loki.
"I think it is best you speak with him yourself; it is not my place to say anything." I muttered, earning a raised brow from Thor. Just as he was about to open his mouth to ask further questions, Natasha's voice brought our attention down the hall. She was walking towards us with a bright smile and holding covered dress bags.
"Hey big guy, boys are all downstairs. Us girls have things to do, so you've got to go." She winked, swaying past him effortlessly into my bedroom.
"Has my brother returned as well?" Thor asked, Natasha nodded with a smile.
"Yes, he's fighting with Tony about something." She tugged my arm dragging me back into the room, winking once more before shutting the door to an amused Thor. "Alright- Let's get busy." She clapped, earning a small groan from myself and Rachel.
Natasha made quick work of throwing my hair in curlers, pinning them so tight to my scalp I thought they were touching my skull. Rachel laughed at my wincing until she realized it was her turn with Tasha.
