Chapter 2

Kimberley's POV
9:09 AM
SATURDAY-

I woke up the next morning confused to where I was but remembered that August Alsina adopted me. For a few minutes I sat there and processed everything that happened to me in a long while. Then I started thinking of Jexi. I took out my new phone and put her number in. I texted her.

Me- Hey Jexi, it's Kimberly

Jexi- Ohh Hey KimKim! Wyd?

Me: Just woke up and thought of you. But I got adopted though.

Jexi- That's amazing. By who?

Me- you can't tell anybody okay?

Jexi- Promise lol

Jexi- just woke up just like you. But I'm gonna head back to sleep for a while. okay?

I put my phone on the dresser next to me. I heard footsteps coming toward my door. August; just to play around i pretended to be asleep.

He walked in my room and opened the curtain. "Lil Guh I know you ain't asleep." I tried to hold in my giggle. "Lil Guh." He started tickling me. I laughed and squirmed and tried to get out of his grip. "Okay okay I'm awake!" I yelled. August stopped tickling me and sat next to me.

"How you feeling?" He asked sitting next to me. "I'm okay." I said smiling. August smiled back. "that's good." I looked at the time. 9:37. I should be getting up. "I'm gonna get in the shower." I said. "Aight." Said august. I pushed him off my bed with all my might. "Get out fool." He playfully cried. "I'm loosing strength." And fell on my floor. I grabbed his feet and dragged his heavy ass out. I closed my door. "I'm gone get you back." "Whatever."

I went in the bathroom and stripped. Looking in the mirror observing my body. I was slightly forming nice curves. I had a round, plump booty and medium sized breast. I traced the scar on my left thigh from the day I was raped in the janitors closet in school.

Flashback

I was silently walking to class when someone grabbed me and shoved me in the janitors closet. The lights were off and all I could hear was someone breathing. They started touching on me. I tried to run but they grabbed me and stuck a needle in my arm which caused me to fall to sleep.

I woke up a few hours later naked. There was my clothes balled up and a condom next to me. I cried and limped back to the Orphanage.

I didn't realize I was crying till heard knocking at the door. "Baby girl you okay in there? What's wrong?" I wiped my tears. "Nothing." "Well I'm a check on you when you get out." I got in the shower and washed up. After my shower I put on a grey t-shirt and diamond studded shorts. I put my long hair in a neat bun and put on eyeliner. I went downstairs where August was on the couch. I tried to tiptoes past him but he heard me.

"Come here." He said sternly. I slowly walked over toward him and sat on the couch. "Kimberly I want you ta' know you can tell me anything, now why was you crying this morning?" I gulped. "I wasn't crying." August looked at me.

"Yeah you was, I heard you."

"Well I wasn't."

"Kimberly, for real what's wrong, cause a nigga wasn't just hearing things."

I sighed before talking. "It was nothing, I just had a flashback but it's not important."

August looked at me with an unsure look. "Well okay, just tell me if something's wrong." I nodded and headed out.

I texted Jexi.

Me- You up?

Jexi- yeah. Wanna come to the mall today?

Me- sure. I'll ask.

I walked into the living room where August was. "Can I go to the mall?" I asked. "Sho'. Let's go he grabbed his keys. I grabbed my phone and we were at the mall.

"Okay, have fun. Don't talk to no lil boys and don't buy nothing grown." I rolled my eyes. "Okay, okay." August hugged me and handed me 300 dollars. "Have fun lil one." I chuckled and got out the car, then watched August drive away.

I texted Jexi.

Me- Where you at?

Jexi- By H&M

Me- Ard

I saw Jexi talking to a cute boy and a girl who looked just like him. Today should be interesting.
