Leon's POV

My eyes widen as I watched Cleo's body go limp against the platform. "Cleo!" I shout before turning to Helena then back to Cleo's body before I jumped down next to her, "Helena, cover me!" I said as I dropped down to one knee and took Cleo's body into my arms looking at her bruised face. "Cleo... can you hear me!?" I ask her receiving no response made my breathing pick up, No... no you can't die here! "Don't let it end like this!" I said as I rested her head against my leg before pulling out a gun as footsteps pick up next to me making me look up to see Ada staring down Simmons with pure hate. Simmons shifted back to his more human form as he begins to walk closer to us. "Get away from her, Leon! You're not half the man she needs!" Simmons roared to me making me frown. Everyone in this fucking world thinks they have some claim on MY wife.... Well not fucking today. I gritted my teeth as I shoot more bullets into Simmons with Ada by my side. "Come with me, Violet Virus. Together, We can bring about the end of these puny humans you call friends and hang onto so dearly!" Simmons shouted again as I growled. "Not if I can help it!" I said through gritted teeth, eyes casting down to Cleo slightly as I looked over her features. "Leon, now would be a good time to wake up sleeping beauty!" Ada said as she shot another round into Simmons body, trying to stop him from getting any closer. "Come on, wake up!" I whispered down to Cleo gently, "You're my wife, I know you can pull through this." I mumbled, gently placing a kiss to her forehead. "We both can." Simmons transformed again making me grit my teeth as I shielded Cleo's body with mine from his attacks as she slowly opened her eyes looking into mine for a moment. "I was just resting my eyes." She said making me smile as I helped her up, "Shouldn't sleep on the job." I said back to her softly as Ada turned to Cleo and hugged her quickly. "You really do bare that Kennedy name well, idiot." I heard Ada mumble before she pulled back and our attention turned back to the mutated male in front of us.

Cleo's POV

I ducked out of the way, being pulled by Ada as Simmons lunged at Leon sending him over the edge with a flip. "Leon!" My heart jumped into my throat as Simmons walked slowly towards where Leon was hanging and stood on his hand harshly. " Do you want to live?" Simmons questioned Leon who groaned at the pain from his hand as my eyes looked down to see a small metal rod that I picked up and turned to Ada who nodded with a smirk. " Then beg! Beg for your life!" Simmons said, kicking one of Leon's hands off the edge as I ran forward with anger flooding me. "I'll pass!" I heard Leon grit out before I raised the metal rod and stabbed it into his side forcefully, "Can't always get what you want, Simmons!" I shouted as he shouted to me as blood began to cake my side. "NO! NO!" Ada grabbed the pipe from me and shoved him down before using her grapple hook to swing away. "Let's call this closure." She muttered as she did as Simmons elongated shout for help as he burned to death echoed around us as I pulled Leon up. I turned, supporting his weight as I looked to Ada who pulled out a device and typed on it before sending me a smirk as Leon's phone pinged making him pull it out. "Wish I could stay longer, but I've gotta run. I've left you a little parting gift on the roof. See you down the road, Cleo and Leon." He spoke her message aloud making my eyes widen. The file! She turned, waving a hand before jumping away as I held out a hand to her. "Ada!" I said making Leon frown as I heard a small voice through his earpiece before he turned and looked up at Helena. "No. We're sticking together. All three of us." I looked up at Leon as he looked down and stroked my cheek. "Whatever it is she promised to give you, I'm sure will find its way to you." He said making me nod as I pecked his lips quickly then stepped back. "Let's go, I could do with a day at the beach with my husband and daughter before I turn into a beached whale." I said before turning on my heel and going to join Helena making Leon chuckle behind me.

My eyes turned back to the helicopter Ada, and I had come to the building on as I looked at the zombies. "There's our ticket outta here..." Leon frowned, looking at the zombies. "if we can get to it!" Tentacles then began to stab all of the zombies in the back making me bite back a groan. "He just doesn't quit, does he?" Helena said as I shook my head, "From the looks of it, I'd lean towards the possibility of that being a no." Leon sighed, anger radiating from him with a look in his eyes I had never seen before. "Enough is enough." He spoke quietly, cocking his gun as we began to fight our way past Simmons and the zombies. "Leon!" Helena and I shouted as Leon landed into a window cleaning lift. "I'm all right! Just get me out of here!" He said quickly as I scrambled from my knees to my feet and began looking around us for anything to help Leon. "Got it!" I shouted over my shoulder. I stopped, seeing some switches and buttons and began to press and flick each one in turn. "Whatever you're doing, it's working!" I heard Helena say making me smile. After a few more moments the whole thing stopped making me turn as I loaded bullets into Simmons. "Leon, you're all clear! Get out of there!" I cried to him causing him to swiftly throw himself from the thing onto the ledge in front of him. More zombies burst into flames as Simmons crawled back up to where we were making my breath hitch. "As long as he's airborne, we're not going anywhere in that chopper." I heard Leon say from next to me as I began to unload all of my remaining bullets into Simmons. "I'll be damned if I'm gonna let him stop us." I said to them both making them nod in agreement.
