Chapter 9

"Thank you guys for saving my life, I hope you'll never have to do it again though" Nat said

"Let's hope not" Tony said

"She still needs to rest she had a lot of hits to her head and her leg is still healing" a medic who was also in the room said.

Everyone left the room except Wanda. She had been so worried so she wanted to talk to Nat first.

You went to take a shower because you knew you smelled and looked horrible.

The past week you've only wore sweatpants and hoodies. And you hadn't trained since Nat went missing.

Before hopping in the shower you looked into the mirror again.

"F*ck, f*ck, f*ck I forgot about this. Why did I do this o my god I'm so stupid" you were yelled at yourself "WHY WHY WHY, HOW STUPID CAN I BE"

After you calmed down you took the shower like you wanted. After that you put on some more decent clothes.

Your favorite black cargo pants and a oversized black shirt, on the shirt was a women with a cigarette, and a quote that said 'I'm fine and I feel good, I'm feeling like I never should' you loved that quote.

After you got dressed you went to the elevator.

"Hi FRIDAY is Wanda still in agent Romanoffs room?" You asked

"Wanda is in the kitchen, agent Romanoff is alone" FRIDAY responded

"Thank you FRIDAY, Could you bring me to agent Romanoff her room please" you asked

"Of course" FRIDAY responded

A few seconds later the door opened for you.

First you knocked on the door and after you heard a soft "come in" You stepped back in the room where you've been for almost 2 days.

"Hi y/n" Nat said

"Hi, how are you?" You asked

"Better then before that for sure, but could still be better" she said

"Good to know, also you said you'd explain the ignoring, wanna do it now or later this week?" You asked

"Is now okay for you?" She asked

"Yes" you said

"Then I'll tell you now, well, since I got out of the red room I didn't let anyone get to close to me and I didn't let myself get to close to anyone, I was always scared that If I'd love someone they' get hurt or worse, get killed" she paused and started to tear up.

So you went to sit on the side of her bed and grabbed her hand.

"it's okay if you don't wanna talk now" you said softly

"But I do" she said

"Okay" you said

"Well almost everyone I've ever loved either didn't love me back or got killed, well some almost got killed but they were able to protect themselves, but they did get hurt and that's all my fault" she said with a tear rolling down.

"That's okay, I still don't get why you were ignoring me" you said

"Well, we were getting really close and I was starting to catch feelings, I tried to stop myself because I knew it would get you in danger" she said

"You weren't worried if I liked you back?" You asked

"It was pretty obvious you liked me, I don't think you ever have fallen in love before, atleast you never tried to hide your feelings" she said
