Just a heads up! As you may know I like to keep my chapters around 1000 words long, I normally only write longer if I need/want to.

Also, most (probably all) of the fourth year chapters won't be proof read, but once I get to fifth or sixth year and have my updating schedule under complete control, I will go over these chapters and correct any mistakes.

(Y/N) had been spending the first part of her holidays at Neville's house. She felt bad for leaving Viv alone at home since Josh was staying at Cedric's like he did almost every summer.

(Y/N) promised her guardian that after she meets her father at St Mungos, she'll go back home and they can have some bonding time.

(Y/N)'s summer was great so far, she smiled looking outside the window from the kitchen to see Neville planting new flowers in his garden. She sipped her tea, amazed by the boys love for gardening, she loved the way his eyes lit up every time he talked about plants.

(Y/N) promised Neville she would help him garden, but she wanted to finish her tea first.

"He's stress gardening," Neville's grandma stated entering the room. "He does this every time he's about to visit his parents."

(Y/N) hummed, understanding why Neville would be nervous, she was nervous herself. Suddenly an owl flew through the window, it landed next to the (h/c) girl.

She stroked the bird before taking the letter out of its beak, carefully opening it. It was from Ron.

Dear (Y/N),

ew I hate writing letters, they sound so formal. Anyway, dad bought tickets to go to the Quidditch World Cup!!! I was wondering if you would like to come with us, Harry and Hermione are coming. Mr Diggory also bought tickets, meaning Cedric and Josh are probably coming too.

The cup is in 3 or 4 weeks time, I don't remember but I hope you can come along! It would be so much fun.

Ron

(Y/N) smiled as she read the letter, she was very excited. She excused herself from the kitchen, placing her empty tea cup into the sink and walking upstairs.

She needed to write a reply to Ron and a letter to Viv to ask for permission. She quickly wrote the two letters, sewing them in an envelope before walking back downstairs to were the Longbottom's owl sat.

Neville's grandma already told (Y/N) to use their owl whenever, since (Y/N) had been writing lots of letters. Most letters were to Dean and Seamus, some were to Hermione and Harry, and I few were to Blaise, her new friend.

The bird flew off once (Y/N)'s letters were tied to it leg. She sighed before grabbing her gardening gloves and walking outside to were Neville was.

"Hey, Neville!" She said

"Hey!" He smiled

"Your grandma said you "stress garden" every time you're about to visit St Mungo's." (Y/N) stated, sitting next to him.

"Yeah, I do." Neville chuckled, "It's nice that we're going to go to St Mungo's together, is Josh coming with?"

"Yeah, he's meeting us there. I'm glad we're going together, it makes me less nervous."

"Yeah. So the plan is, me, you and my grandma all go to St Mungo's together and we meet your brother there? Why isn't your Vivian coming with you?" Neville asked

"She told me she didn't want to feel like she was intruding on our personal moment with our father, she felt like it wouldn't be right if she came with us. I understand why she feels that way." The girl explained

Neville nodded his head, understanding. Neville had changed a lot in such a short time, appearance wise.

His hair had grown longer, his brown hair laid just above his eyebrows, his hair in general was much longer and fluffier. He had grown taller and his face was more defined than before.

(Y/N) had changed too. (I'll describe her when she sees Harry again)

"You know, your birthday is soon!" (Y/N) laughed, "I've got you a great present."

Neville smiled, he was so glad (Y/N) had remembered, "I thought you'd forget, most people forget." He muttered

"I would never forget! Neville, you're my friend, I would never forget your birthday." She replied

Neville looked at her, a soft blush on his cheeks. The blush had nothing to do with romantic feelings, he just wasn't used to someone saying things like that.

"Ok, teach me how to garden!" She said, standing up.

"Ok!"

I'm so sorry, this is so short. I'm just veryyy tired and couldn't write anymore.

The next chapter will be longer because they are going to St Mungo's to visit (Y/N)'s dad (he is very important)
