"Keon!" A guy yelled. "Come down here for your payment!""Stay here, i'll be back." Keomi said giving Vinny a smile and heading downstairs.
Vinny looked down the building to see who was calling for her.
It was two guys.
One wore yellow glasses and a white hat the other has light blue, almost white, hair and a tattoo.
"Couldn't you call me or something?" Vinny heard her ask them as she put her hands in the yellow glasses pocket.
Vinny saw her phone next to the logs. He picked it up.
"You didn't call her?" The yellow glasses asked the tall guy with the tattoo.
"No." He muttered.
Keomi removed her hand from the yellow glasses pocket and handed a white bag to the tall guy.
"Dinner, I hope it's enough." She whispered which made it hard for Vinny to hear.
"You know me so well, Keon!" The yellow glasses guy yelled as he looked at whatever Keomi put in his pocket.
"Pay me, I didn't get that for free." She pointed to whatever she had put in his pocket.
"Right. I need you to do something else," The yellow glasses leaned down to her ear and covered his mouth.
She nodded and grabbed the money that the tall guy handed her.
She watched them leave and she quickly went inside. Vinny walked back to the log and put her phone back to where she'd left it, he then grabbed his bag.
"I'm back, I brought us some drinks." She said.
"I'm leaving." Vinny said. "I don't wanna be part of your job if you're dealing drugs."
"Huh?" She asked freezing in place. "Drugs?" She frowned. "Those were lollipops, I brought you some too."
She tried not to throw the coke at his head.
She aggressively shoved the coke and lollipops towards him.
"Don't come back unless you're gonna apologize." She knew it wasn't gonna happen.
He walked past her.
"You're leaving?" Keomis mom asked Vinny as she stood in front of the door.
"Yeah, I gotta see if my moms alright." Keomis moms eyes practically shined.
"Is it alright if we all have dinner together, tonight? I'd like to meet her."
"Mom, let him leave." Keomi said. "You can have dinner with them some other time."
Vinny didn't think it was his fault for thinking she was selling drugs.
"Vinny i'd love to meet your mom, please come here again if we have dinner next time it'll be my treat. Sorry if my daughter came off as rude, she's just like her father."
"Ugh." Keomi grabbed Vinnys arm and started pulling him away from her mom and took him downstairs. "I told you to leave."
"I'm S-" He started. "I'm leaving." He said and left the shop.
"What's up with you?" Her mom asked her.
"I told you to stop comparing me to dad." Keomi said.
"Sorry, why were you mad at the Vinny boy?"
"It's stupid,"
"It's not stupid if it's bothering you."
"I have work, i'll tell you tomorrow you better be asleep when I get home." Keomi said as she grabbed her helmet.
"You have school tomorrow, what work do you have to get to now?" Her mom
asked her."I'll be here before school starts." Keomi put on her roller skates and left the tattoo shop.

"Some kids from the race came by."
"Kids? How'd they get in?"
"I let them in, they tried to start a fight and ran when they saw Joker."
"That was smart of them." Keomi stretched.
"How much did you make tonight?" Joker asked her.
"About uh 50K. Can you walk me home?" She asked him. "I'll get you food." He nodded.
"I'll see you guys then."
Keomi said goodbye and followed Joker.
"Do you want ramen or sushi?"
"Anything that'll last for a week."
"Let's just go grocery shopping."
"Don't you need the money for your moms surgery?"
"Yeah but this is a thanks for walking me home."
"I don't need a thanks, keep the cash you can take me grocery shopping some other time."
"It's fine, you need food for the week."
"I have my own money." She nodded.
"Okay."
The walk was silent. She thanked him and watched him leave but she turned around and started walking.
It's not that she didn't trust Joker. He's like a brother to her but the business he got involved in made her afraid she'd get targeted by someone.
When she got home she got to bed.
It was 3 in the morning. She sighed and went to sleep.
