Keomi made sure to go to Vinnys house and Keomi invited her to dinner at fancy restaurants.
"You're such a sweet girl, i'll pay for this meal." Miss Hong said every time.
"It's fine ma'am I got this." Keomi said and payed for their dinner.
"Where do you get this money?" Miss Hong asked her.
"My mom owns a tattoo shop, I started working at this gas station quite recently, I was in a fight club I made a bunch of money there, and I also do roller skate races."
"Wow, I understand how you have those bruises on you now. You should be very careful."
"I'm doing my best."
"May I ask why you work so much?"
"I want to make my moms career into something bigger, I also have to pay for her next surgery's and check ups, and i'm trying to get a lawyer for my mom so she'd be able to divorce my dad." Keomi explained and Miss Hong nodded.
"You always talk about your mom, this is the first time you've mentioned your dad." Miss Hong noticed.
"Yeah, I don't communicate with my dad anymore. He's in jail and i'm hoping i'd have my moms lawyer by the time he's out."
"May I ask why hes in jail?"
"He got caught selling drugs, getting caught in gang fights, and abusing my mom."
When they got home Vinny was cooking ramen for him and his friend.
"I'm heading home now see you soon Miss Hong."
"I'll see you soon too." Miss Hong hugged Keomi. "Vinny come hug your girlfriend."
"Ah no Miss we're not dating," Keomi quickly said.
Vinny and Keomi made eye contact. Vinny was then wrapping his arms around Keomi.
"You're so beautiful." He whispered.
Her eyes, her hair, her smile, everything about her was so beautiful to him. He didn't want her to change.
Keomi laughed and wrapped her arms around him to keep her from falling.
"I'll be inside." Miss Hong said.
"Thank you." Vinny said.
"It's not a problem, I took your mom to some fancy restaurants it was so cool." Keomi said happily.
"How much do I pay you back?" Vinny asked.
"No need." Keomi put her hands on his face and brought his face down to hers. "I hope you had a good time with your friends." She gave him a kiss on the forehead and let him go.
"I'll see you tomorrow." She then walked away.
"Is she your girlfriend?" Jay asked Vinny when he went back inside.
"No." Vinny said.

The next day at school Vinny, Sung, and Keomi hung out together.
"So you're going to another school when you leave?" Keomi asked Vinny and he nodded.
"What happened to that guy who picked you up?" Sung asked her.
"He's working." Keomi said. "I'm gonna go over to your moms again, Vinny."
