"Vinny? Is it alright for me to be here?" Keomi whispered as she held onto Vinnys arm.
"Yeah."
Keomi and Miss Hong had seen the news together. Keomi had visited the hospital without Vinny knowing but he found out since Keomi had stayed a bit longer than she'd expected at the hospital.
"Both our parents are dying, we'd have to attend one of these some days." Vinny said.
Keomi wondered how he knew about her mom but she didn't want to ask not now.
"Don't say that." She muttered.
"We're not staying for long." He told her.
Vinny and Keomi stood behind the boy he had punched the other day.
It was his mother's funeral.

The day after Keomi had went to the funeral she got home and hugged her mom.
She hadn't seen her the day before due Keomi being busy with looking for another job.
Keomi held back her tears in their hug.
"What's this all of a sudden?" Her mom asked her.
Keomi knew they didn't have long.
"Please don't leave me." Keomi whispered.
"Ah Ive told you sweetheart I'm not leaving you any time soon." Her mom tried to assure her.
They both knew it wasn't long til something happened.
"You just worry about teenage stuff and i'll be fine." Her mother said. "I'll live longer than that your father."
