up North

You walked up north over what bothered,
There to hope problems felt smaller,
Hoping the star light would guide home ward,
Take me a bit farther.

You slipped past my shadows up above,
Tripped over reflections of glass-gloves,
And looked towards the soaring dove up and above,
It took flight a bit farther away for us.

But you thought you gathered shadows of beloveds,
The ones so little, so much who were loved,
Underserving of uncertainties you would become,
When you walked past them up in hope of love,
You walked up north over what bothered,
Until it crowed it was enough,

You walked so far past what you must,
Craving once you would meet a shadow,
You could hold and cry for enough,
Lull you asleep so deep,
Wipe all our worries and weeps,
Tell you, you were tough to get through crests and all troughs,
Take you a bit farther away,
Somewhere far to be safe.

They took you up so north,
Spotlights and sunlights,
You hit the rug,
Crumbled shadows and those doves,
Poignant they were potions like drugs by beloved,
Like the portioned the belong and all that loves,
Unreversed uncertainties you saw a dove.

As you walked up, up so above north,
Until it crowed it was enough,
You carved shadows that were tough,
Just enough to make it middle and far past enough,
Get through crests and all troughs.

Hoping you were wrong to see glass gloves,
Walking over what bothered,
North stars would cover you so small
and smaller to bluff,
Guide you home ward,
It would hide you a bit farther like a father would have done,
It walked with you up north,
Sooner enough,
take me a bit farther and further
till your time was up.
