A/n: Another one that just kinda came to me when I was listening to the song, but anyway here you go. I had to cut some lyrics out because the song is pretty repetitive. Highly recommend the song btw.

Ah yes, the day I had been dreading. As a princess, it's my responsibility to marry a prince to uphold the royal status of our family. Or at least that's what my mom says. You know for having the Goddess of Love for a mother she doesn't seem too keen on letting me find a spouse of my own accord. But back to the matter at hand, the prince of Asgard. My mother's top contender for a spouse was Thor Odinson, maybe one of the elf princes, but that was unlikely. I was just lucky my mother hadn't forced me to wed already.

My maids had come early this morning to dress me. A blue gown that was draped across my shoulders and swatted at my heels as I walked. Then they placed a leather bodice on me, sinching it tight. Then it was off to my hair, styling it to the point when my scalp was raw. A light dusting of blush on my cheeks and the tip of my nose and a swipe of mascara and I was on my way.

I let myself slump against my throne, besides that of my mother's. "Don't slouch," She mumbled as I sat down. I rolled my eyes but maintained my position.

"The Princes of Asgard," Our adviser called as the men entered.  I kept my gaze upon the book I had brought with me.

"One, two, princes kneel before you," My mother whispered swatting me lightly with the back of her hand.

"Princes?" I repeated dully, still letting my gaze focus upon my book.

"That's what I said, now. Princes, princes who adore you," She mumbled. I placed my book upon the armrest and looked up at the men. The first was muscular with light bronze skin and golden hair. The other was far more skinny with ebony hair that fell to just above his shoulders. Something about the latter intrigued me but I couldn't place it.  I cocked my eyebrow at her and she nodded her head towards the men who kneeled before us. "Just go ahead, now." I stood and walked down towards them, and they stood to meet me. My mother began talking about Thor, trying to sell me on him, "One has diamonds in his pockets. This one said he wants to buy you rockets. Not in his head, now."

"And what of this one?" I asked looking at the younger brother.

My mother laughed. "Aah, This one, got a princely racket."

"A trouble maker?" I asked as the man smirked.

"That's what I said, now," My mother said, playfully agitated.

"Got some big seal upon his jacket," I mumbled, toying with his jacket that bared the symbol that Frigga had adopted. I stepped back and looked to my mother to dismiss me. She nodded and I left the hall, wondering what the week had in store.

I was training in the gym when the brothers happened upon me again. "A warrior?" Thor asked.

I laughed as I stopped the swing of the bag (yes I get that there probably wouldn't be a punching bag in Vanhiem but let's pretend). "You didn't expect me to just be a pretty face, now did you?" I asked.

"No of course not," Thor said. "I've heard tales of your greatness. It's what brought me here to court you."

"Slow down junior," I said. "What makes you think I'm going to choose you?"

"Because I am the best option. Think about it," Thor explained. I saw Loki's face drop. "You marry him, your mother will condone you."

I laughed a low fake laugh, and said, "How 'bout that, now?

Thor's face was practically red as he stalked out of the room. I turned back to Loki who was smiling now. "You marry me, your mother will disown you," he joked.

"She'll eat her hat," I said with a smile. "Now... what about you prince... Loki right? You've been awfully quiet. I barely even know you."

"Perhaps that's for the best," he whispered with a smirk.

Damn him, I thought as I watched him walk away.  Even if I had tried I couldn't have hidden the smile on my face.

Over the course of six days, Loki and I had become extremely close. I was almost sad knowing that he would be leaving the morning after tomorrow. Eh, enough with this brooding, I thought, I'm going to the library. And so I got off my bed and ran down the halls, pooling the skirt my mother was requiring me to wear around my thighs as I rushed. Once I got there a pulled out a book of stories I had not read for quite some time. I then sat upon the window ledge and read.

About twenty minutes after I had begun I heard a silvery voice I had grown to love, "I was wondering where you had gotten off to."

"Well you've found me," I said. I waved him over to the ledge and he stood awkwardly before me. I grabbed his arms, pulling him so that he was sitting on the ledge with me, his head resting on my stomach as I leaned against the wall. He laughed as I nodded, content. "This is a bunch of stories and poems by Edgar Allen Poe by the way. He's a famous author on Midgard." Loki smiled and nodded. I flipped the page to a poem I had grown fond of and began reading. "'It was many and many a year ago, / In a kingdom by the sea...'"

Once I had finished reading, Loki took the book from my hands, delicately marking my place with his fingers, and laid it in his lap. And then he spoke, soft and delicate, "Marry him or marry me, I'm the one that loves you baby can't you see? I don't have a future or a family tree, but I know what a prince and lover ought to be."

"Loki," I cooed, pulling him closer to me. "If you want to call me baby just go ahead now. And if you like to tell me maybe just go ahead now.  And if you wanna buy me flowers just go ahead now. And if you like to talk for hours just go ahead, now."

"Oh thank the Norns," he mumbled, pulling my face down to his with his free hand.

The last day of the princes' visit had arrived, and it was time to announce my decision to my mother, whom to marry or not. "Two princes kneel before you," she began, repeating the words I had heard a million times. That's what I said, now, I thought to myself. "Princes, princes who adore you," she continued. Just go ahead, now. "One has diamonds in his pockets." I was growing quite tired of this dull speech. That's some bread, now. "This one, he wants to buy you rockets." Ain't in his head, now.

My mother nodded to Thor so that he could continue with his speech, "Marry him or marry me-"

But Loki cut him off, approaching me and kneeling at my feet grasping my hand in his. "I'm the one that loves you baby can't you see? I don't have a future or a family tree, but I know what a prince and lover ought to be." He smiled softly as my mother gaped at his actions. "I know what a prince and lover ought to be.

"You said, 'If you want to call me baby just go ahead, now. And if you like to tell me maybe just go ahead, now. And If you wanna buy me flowers just go ahead, now. And if you like to talk for hours just go ahead, now.'"

I smiled whispering back to him, "Yes, and if you want to call me baby just go ahead, now. And if you like to tell me maybe just go ahead, now. And If you like to buy me flowers just go ahead, now. And if you like to talk for hours just go ahead, now.

"You're majesty, come forget the queen and marry me," Loki whispered looking up at me.

I looked up to my mother. "Loki," I said. "I choose Loki."
