Dear Imara Lopez,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been successfully accepted in our school.
We are sorry that we had you wait for a long period of time. I hope that you enjoy studying with us for the next years.
Congratulations and welcome to our school.
Yours sincerely,
Light Wood High SchoolImara's eyes lightened up with joy and hugged keir with all her force. "O MY GOSH! KEIR I GOT IN!" Said Imara.
Imara? You're hugging me to tight, and I can't breathe but, I'm happy for you.
I'm sorry, It's just I'm thrilled and excited that we'll still be together, at least for our whole high school years. When we're in college, we'll study separately. I'll study in Germany when we reach college but, you know what, we should stop talking about this. It's going to take years once we get to that point. We still have many memories to make.
My father wanted to transfer to Germany when I reach college. He believes that I have a better future there. I couldn't say anything, this was his only happiness, to give his daughter a wonderful life. I was sad but, I wanted to give him his what he wanted.
3 days before graduation
Keir and I were finishing our project before we passed it to the teacher. Keir was busy drawing when I got up to get some water. As I stood up looking at Keir I realize that I've fallen for him but, I prefer not to tell him because I was scared that our friendship will end if I tell him.
The next day
Keir Hernandez POV
While I was walking to my next class, I was thinking of confessing my feeling for Imara. I told myself to take the risk, What could I lose If I tell her, right? I'm still thinking if I should tell her of not when I reached the classroom. I want to avoid breaking our friendship but, I also don't want to miss my chance. I sat at the corner of the room, looking outside the window, trying to make up my mind.
Few hours later. I was walking home alone when Imara called me.
Keir? Where are you? Said Imara. I'm about to go home, just waiting for a taxi to arrive. Said Keir. Oh ok, take care. Tell me when you're home. Imara replied and ended the call.
I texted Imara as soon as I got home, so she wouldn't worry anymore. I took a shower, and got ready to go to sleep, since it was already late by that time.
The next day was the final day we attend classes Because the day after that is our graduation. Imara was preparing for her speech, since she was our valedictorian. I was at her house helping her with her speech. When she told me she couldn't do it. She said she couldn't speak in front of people, she gets scared and nervous.
I told her to not be scared, and it's okay to be nervous. I held her hand to calm her down, and I told her to finish writing her speech.
Imara Lopez POV
I was writing my speech when Keir arrived. He brought food for us to eat later during lunch with my father. While I was writing my speech, I got a feeling that I would make many mistakes when I speak. I was panicking and getting scared of that thought. I told Keir I couldn't do it. He held my hand to calm me down and told me I could do it. And helped me with my speech.
It was 12pm when my father called us to eat lunch. Keir and I rushed downstairs since we were starving. When me and Keir friendship started, He would always go to my house. One day, he thought that it would be a good idea to jump of the stairs and run, but instead of winning in the race, he won going to the hospital. I was laughing and also worried that the same time because he was in so much pain, He stayed in the hospital for a few days and I would visit everyday, so I could give him the lessons we learned.
Those were good memories. When we got to the table. My father scolded us for running inside the house. Remember what happened to Keir, it might happen again if you two don't learn from it. Said father. Yes tito I remember that, please don't embarrass me. That was the dumbest thing I've done. Said Keir. My father and I started laughing at Keir because of what he said.
Father, Keir is embarrass we should stop. Yes, sweetie we'll stop. Keir then smiled and looked at me, thanking me.
Keir? Imara? Said my father. We both looked at him, wondering why he called us. Yes, father? You guys have been friends for so long, don't you guys catch feelings for each other? I was shock by what my father asked me and Keri. I replied, saying father we're still too young for that. Not only that, but I want to enjoy my teen life before any boy problems. Keir laughed and said tito we're still young, but maybe in the future I can court her. I was shocked by what Keir said that I hit him in the head. Keir why would you say that? Whispered by imara. Imara it's a joke, calm down.
My father laughed at the both of us saying "Imara if you're going to date someone. Find someone that will treat you right, like Keir". I laughed nervously and said, "the food is getting cold with all this talking, we should start eating".
My father agreed and we started eating. The whole lunch time, Keir and I were not talking. When we were done. I told Keir to go up to my room and wait for me. He got up the table and went upstairs. I was fixing the table and washing the dishes when my father came up to me.
