Sweetie? He said. Yes father? I replied. Come and sit beside me, I want to show you something.

By the time he asked me to sit with him, I was already done washing the dishes. I asked him, father what would you like to show me? He replied saying. This was your mother and I when we were your age. He showed me a picture of them back when they were little. He said we were also best friends at that time. I asked her father if I could court her. What did lolo say? I asked. your lolo agreed when I asked . But father you and mom were still to young. I said. We knew that. But when you know that you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, You have to make it happen.

I when up to my room where I saw Keir sleeping on my bed. I was gone for a long while and he waited for so long I guess he must have fallen asleep. I went to sit on my bed and finish my speech, when I felt a hand hug on my waist. I saw Keir's hand wrapped around my waist. I was shooked but I there was this strange feeling that I liked. I decided to lay down with him and hugged him back. We were laying together in my bed for hours, asleep.

Keir and I woke up to my father calling us for dinner. Keir got up and help me out of bed, It was like nothing ever happened. Maybe it was nothing for him. Maybe he only sees me as his younger sister.

We sat down at the dinner table not speaking to each other. My father was wondering and asked us if we fought. We both looked at him and said no. We continued eating and after dinner Keir left.

Day of Graduation

My father and I reach school, when i saw Keir with his parents. Keir's father saw us and started waving. My father told me we should go to them so i guided him to keir and his parents.

Good morning, Mr and Mrs. Hernandez, It's great to see you! My father said. Good morning to you also Mr. Lopez. Replied by Mrs. Hernandez. Keir and I were avoiding each other when our parents were talking. I excused myself from them to go to the restroom. I was looking at the mirror reminding myself that this is my big day. I will graduate as valedictorian of our school. I told myself I could do it and went back to the gym where all the students were gathered before the ceremony. The ceremony was about to start and I was shaking but, I always remember what Keir tells me. "Shake it off, it will be done in a short while".

The ceremony started and we were walking up the stage on by one to receive our diplomas. When we were done it was time for me to say my speech. I was still shaking and couldn't stop. Everyone can here my voice shaking. I was saying my speech and made a lot of mistakes. I was about to cry seeing everyone laughing at me but, I felt someone hugged me when I looked up I saw Keir. He told me to continue with my speech. He was behind me holding my hand to keep me calm. I told myself to keep it all together and face it. I faced everyone and apologize. I said my speech more confidently and everyone clapped their hands for me. I was so happy that I did it and I'm really thankful for Keir who was there from me when I needed him.

After the ceremony, my father and Keir's parents planned to eat dinner together to celebrate our graduation. Keir and I knew and we decided to match our outfits weeks before this. I was going to wear a black dress while he wears a black suit. We were going to eat in a 5 star restaurant so we needed to look our best.

Going to the restaurant. I felt sleepy and fell asleep. When I woke up I was laying on Keir's shoulder. He was also asleep so I didn't bother to move. I was laying on his shoulder when I thought of what happened earlier. Did he really come up the stage in front of the school just to help me when I was nervous.  He was always there when I'm in trouble, he's  the guy that I always go to if i needed help, he's the one that's always there for me. By the time I snapped out of that realization, we were already at the parking lot of the restaurant where we're going to eat.

We were already in the restaurant when I saw a familiar face. It was my Aunt betty that I haven't seen in a very long time. She lived in the States and started a family there. It's a surprise to see you her tita as I hugged her with joy. It's great to see you to Imara, my tita replied. Have I mentioned Tita betty was the one who took care of me and keir when we we're younger. Keir's parents worked in the same company as my dad and they both have grave yard shift so my Tita would Volunteer to take care of us. We were all thankful for her, but she had to leave for the States since she about to study medicine there. So my dad switched his work and worked from home. I was sad to see her go because she was my best friends when I was little but it's okay since now here I am celebrating my graduation with keir.
