*Samantha's POV*

As I get off my school bus, I walk towards the entrance of my school. I'm looking around, hoping to see a familiar face. As I move through the crowd filled with cliques and couples making out endlessly, I notice a short blonde haired girl.

"Valerie!" I shouted using up all of the air in my lungs and I saw a blondie in a bob running right after she shrieked in excitement. I rushed towards her meeting her in the middle of the path we were running on ramming into each other as we engulfed into a huge hug.

"Oh my goodness, that hug hurts so much Sammy! But oh my goodness it's so great to see you. You don't know how much I've struggled overseas stuck with my brother and my mom's co-worker's family!"

Valerie was being just a bit overdramatic but I knew that her brother was a little crazy, if you could say it in the least.

" Awwwww, poor Rie-Rie. Would you rather have stayed here in America for summer?" I treated Valerie as if she was a spoiled baby.

"Yes, please."

"Well, you should have stayed with me. You would've had a blast meeting my family and their friends around the great America. Totally better than visiting England!"

Valerie rolled her eyes at my sarcastic comment.

"Oh shut up. Whatever, let's just go to class so we can get first picks at seats."

I laugh at her but start walking along the hallways side-by-side learning about how much she loved visiting England and meeting charming guys and how her brother and his new friend embarrassed her.

"Ok," I say. "So your new 'do... What made you decide to cut your hair that short?"

"Well, if you must ask, I visited the Buckingham palace and the Queen just happened to pass by me and insulted my hair by being inconsistent with my layers. I was upset but I decided to anger her by cutting my hair shorter. Everyone at the the palace was saying, 'God save the Queen.!' "

I didn't believe her story whatsoever. "Really?"

"No, if I ever met the Queen, I would fangirl too much. Either way, it would have ended negatively if I met her. But no, it was because of my brother and that stupid friend of his for sticking gum in my hair while I was I was asleep. I woke up and I made them cut my hair to remove the gum. Worst mistake ever! They made my hair look wilder than Miley Cyrus! It was jagged cuts all over so my parents took me to a salon and they had to cut my hair into a bob since my hair was cut so short."

I laughed at her and couldn't help imagine how ticked off Valerie would've been if I was there to see it.

"Whatever, you still look fabulous."

"Thanks, I'll show my brother and that stupid friend of his how fabulous I can look after I have a fight with them. They literally have the nerve to-"

At that moment, I didn't hear what Valerie was saying. I looked to my right and I saw this new guy, someone who looked so familiar yet I didn't know him. Yet, there he was, talking to all of the nerds and gamers in my class from my last school year as if they were best friends. He looked like the cutest one out of all the guys in the little gaming circle, if not, the cutest in the whole school. I turned to Valerie to tell her about the guy. She was still telling her story.

"- and they think they could waste their time on me thinking they could not get in trouble since they were in London of course! But ohhhhhhh no. I got them in huge trouble. You see, what happened was-"

"Valerie."

"What?" Valerie acted she was taken out of a trance when I said her name.

"Do you see that guy over there hanging out with the guys in our class?"
