*Valerie's POV*

Oh my gosh. I can't believe what just happened. Samantha and I literally just fought over a yogurt cup and it spilled all over her. I'm laughing until realize who she fell on top on. I'm laughing even harder now because she's on top of Harrison. Ohhhhhh, Valerie, nice one! Once I control my fit of laughter I stand up to help Samantha up. But someone else beats me to it. I sit back down as Harrison pulls Samantha up and I realize how much yogurt went on him. I try to hold back the laughter. How on earth did our teacher not notice all the commotion? We were so noisy! This teacher will be easy to trick.

"You two- What are your names?"

Uh-oh. I spoke too soon. I turn my head around and notice that the teacher looks pretty irritated.

Samantha starts speaking. "I'm Samantha Adkinson."

Then Harrison speaks. "And I'm Harrison Trene."

"Well, Miss Adkinson and Mr. Trene," the teacher began. "You two better go to the clinic for a change of clothes and wipe yourselves up."

"Okay." Said Samantha.

Samantha and Harrison started to leave before the teacher spoke again.

"Were you two the only ones involved in this mess?"

Harrison was about to say something but Samantha started to speak first.

"No sir. It was just us."

Harrison looked at Samantha strangely but nodded towards the teacher as if they were telling the truth. I had a feeling Harrison would have ratted me out. But if it wasn't for Samantha... Samantha! She's never lied to a teacher before. Wow. I'm so proud of her but I don't really know why she would do that for me. She never lies for anyone just because it's "hurting those around you." I mean sure, honesty is good but to letting me get punished, well I think I learned my lesson but I don't need my own friend making me go to detentions. Still, she is my best friend and I'm thankful to have her around. And I'm thankful she didn't rat me out even though it was partially my fault.

"You two must report to this classroom afterschool for detention."

My head snapped back into reality. The teacher just gave Harrison and Samantha detention. I mean yay for Harrison but he doesn't really deserve it and Samantha doesn't either. Samantha's never had detention. Ever.

I felt some bit of sadness inside me knowing it was my fault. Samantha has always been a goody-two-shoes and is constantly afraid of getting in trouble for the littlest things. She may look girly and tough but she's really sensitive. I hope I can stop her from going to detention. Right now, Sammy and Harrison are passing by my desk. To leave the classroom.

"Psssst. Sammy"

Samantha looks over to me.

I whisper, "I'm so sorry."

She mouths back, "It's okay."

Then she and Harrison leave the classroom. The teacher clears his throat and starts his presentation.

"Hello everyone. My name is Mr. Headley. As you may have heard from all of my previous students, I'm strict. And I am glad that those students said that because it is the truth. As you have seen already, I sent two students out, Mr. and Miss. Trene out of the classroom and gave them detention."

I raise my hand. The teacher nods at me giving me permission to speak.

"Ummm, Mr. Headley, it's Mr. Trene and Miss Adkinson. They aren't related or in some sort of relationship."

The teacher glared at me for a moment but continued speaking.

"Ahhhh, my mistake Miss..."

"Gelleria. Valerie Gelleria."
