The room grew cold, as the Cullen's grew worried. The glass windows had begun to freeze over and everyone's breath could be seen as they let out worried sighs.

Evelyn knew what was happening, as she pulled out her wand. She told everyone to be as quiet as possible, hoping they would all just leave. But, Evelyn knew better.

As several darkly cloaked dementors had entered the Cullen's home, she drew her wand. She was surprised to see that the Cullen's could see them. Muggles couldn't see dementors, but maybe magical creatures were the exception.

Evelyn blasted the dementors with a flick of her wand as she shouted, "EXPECTO PATRONUM!"

"They must think you're Cedric." Evelyn spoke, pacing in the living room. The Cullens didn't know too much about magic, so Evelyn was the only one who could properly put the pieces together.

"Isn't the Ministry in control of the dementors?" Edward asked, trying to help out as much as he could. He probably knew the most about magic after being with Evelyn for so long.

"Yes, but Voldemort has infiltrated the Ministry. He's got a death eater as the Minister. That basically means that Voldemort is controlling the dementors." Evelyn explains, looking around at the Cullens. They were trying to follow along, but struggled. There was a lot going on, in Forks and in the wizarding world.

Suddenly, Edward's head begin to ache once more. This time, the pain was much more intense. As Edward fell to the ground in pain, a memory entered his mind.

"Cedric, I don't think you should enter..." Evelyn sat next to Cedric in the courtyard. The summer heat had vanished and the autumn leaves had begun to turn.

"Eve, I will be fine." Cedric took her hands in his, giving them a reassuring squeeze. Still, Evelyn had her concerns. Dumbledore's explanation had worried her, and the fact that the Ministry made a rule change worried her even more.

"How can you be so sure? Some of the best students have entered and they lost their lives. I just fear you aren't taking this seriously..." Evelyn tried to make him understand her worries, and he did nod in acknowledgment.

"I am taking this seriously. But I am very serious about entering. If I win, I'm taking you on a trip. Just the two of us. How does that sound?" Cedric smiles, and Evelyn tried to stop herself from giving in. But, of course, she had failed.

"It..." She hesitated for a moment, "sounds amazing. If you enter, I can't stop you. But promise me one thing?" He was so excited.

"Anything." He spoke softly, his eyes looking into Evelyn's.

"Promise me you'll be careful. I can't lose you, Cedric." Evelyn whispered, caressing his face with her right palm. She wanted to be able to see his face forever.

"I promise."

Edward's head had stopped throbbing as the memory faded away. He stood up, with the help of Jasper and Evelyn, both looked very concerned for him.

"Edward, tell me what's going on. And do not say you're fine because we both know you're not." Evelyn spoke, holding Edward up with her arms. Edward gained his strength and composure as he stood up on his own.

"I've been having...flashbacks of Evelyn. But, it's not me. It looks like me, but I don't remember any of it." Edward spoke, to everyone in the room, mainly Carlisle. Evelyn looked confused.

"It's Cedric you've been seeing, isn't it?" Evelyn asked as Edward nodded, "But why would you be seeing Cedric?" Why would he have flashbacks of Cedric at Hogwarts? Evelyn couldn't come up with an answer for that one.

"I guess I should have said something sooner..." Carlisle confessed, getting several confused looks from everyone. Evelyn takes her attention away from Edward to Carlisle.

"Edward...you are Cedric." Carlisle confessed, watching as Edward looked pale. Paler than vampire pale.

"That's not possible...I saw his dead body right in front of me!" Evelyn argued, crossing her arms in confusion. That just couldn't be possible, right?

"His soul was still intact. The killing curse didn't completely kill him." Carlisle explained, his eyes gazing between Edward and Evelyn.

"But...Harry Potter..." Evelyn realized that Harry must have protected him somehow. She didn't understand or know how.

"Harry must have casted a protection charm, it protected his soul?" Evelyn concluded, and Carlisle nodded, "But how did you get here?"

Carlisle explained that Amos Diggory had family here in Washington and decided to give his body to medicine, as they thought he was dead. Carlisle quickly realized that Cedric wasn't dead, and so he turned him into a vampire in order to start his heart once again. When he woke up as a vampire, he had lost his memories. So, Carlisle decided to change his name and identity and give him a backstory to ease the transition.

Everyone in the room looked stunned, and wondered how they had kept this a secret for so long.

"You're telling me that...Edward is Cedric?" Evelyn was in shock, but Carlisle nodded. Edward, or Cedric, looked just as confused and shocked.

"Cedric...or Edward...do you remember this?" Evelyn shoved her open pinkie in front of her body waiting to see if he could remember their inside joke. Edward's face went white.

Edward's head began a violent pounding as he fell to the ground in pain. Cedric's memories came rushing to the surface; every kiss from Evelyn, all the Quidditch matches, even his sorting ceremony was back where it should be; his mind.

"Edward? Are you alright?" Evelyn asked, looking into his eyes as she kneeled beside him on the floor.

"Call me Cedric." He spoke, his voice returning to normal. Evelyn's eyes widened in shock. What was happening?

"W-what?"

"It's me, Eve." Cedric put out his pinkie and locked it with Evelyn's, "Always and forever." Cedric Diggory was back, as he had been right here the entire time.

"You're back!" Evelyn cried out in joy, with tears in her eyes. Cedric then kisses her lips just like he had at the Yule Ball all those years ago. This were as they should have always been.

The Cullens stood back and watched as the Edward they knew became someone else. The Edward they knew was sad, almost absent of emotions, blank, and dark. This Cedric was full of life and color, confident, charming, athletic, and most importantly, in love with Evelyn Scamander.

"I just can't believe I got you to fall in love with me twice!"

"Alice told me she could have the wedding together a month before my birthday." Evelyn spoke, as the couple sat in the meadow, the place where everything changed for them.

"That's only three months away. There's no rush, Eve." Cedric spoke, with the biggest smile on his face. She was glad to see that smile again, for she had thought she would never see it again.

"I've chosen my life. I want to start living it." Evelyn spoke, her hand holding Cedric's. She smiled, knowing that he loved her endlessly.

"You're going to let Alice plan the whole thing?" He commented, running his fingers down her back. She laughed, and looked him in the eyes. She, too, loved him endlessly.

"Of course not! But some of her ideas were actually very good," Evelyn spoke as she stood up, "This isn't a choice between Cedric and Edward. This is a choice between who I was and who I am now. I've had to face death, loss, and pain in your world. But I've also never felt stronger. Because, it's my world too. This is where I belong. With you." Evelyn spoke, looking at Cedric smiling up at her.

This was all they had ever wanted; each other. This was their start of their forever.
