A year in Italy

I got to my apartment and took out my key card expecting Sophia to be out with the man from last night. But I was wrong, Sophia was on the couch waiting for me, " Oh my god, Camilla where have you been?" I know I've only known this girl for some hours but I felt so comfortable around her, we've spoken a few times online before I got to actually meet her face to face." I met a guy last night" her face went from being worried to glowing with excitement, " what's his name? OMG Cami how am I excited more than you are?" I smiled at her hype state and replied her, " you know he was so mysterious and strict.. in a sexy way" I explained  "wait you had sex with someone and did not even ask for their name" she asked with a confused look on her face. "wait I did not say we had sex... hold on there" she then sat down waiting for me to give her details about what happened "Ok fine Sophia, he was handsome and rich too" she looked at me as if I was getting to the best part " Stop it Soph... I told you there was no sex" I said trying to snap her out of her thoughts.

" Ok fine Cami, but if I find out you are lying I will tell Kai you not interested in him" she said with a smirk, " wait what?" I asked in confusion. " Kai wants to see you, oh did I not mention this?" I paused and got a bit excited that Kai seems to be interested in me, let alone told Sophia, "Wait so he told you that he wants to see me?" she then placed her feet on the couch " Yeah, Cami... Kai is very nice and sweet, and I think if you gave him a chance, you two could hit it off" I started thinking about what she just said, " Okay... yes I'll go out with Kai, but only if you promise you'll introduce me to your mystery man from yesterday" she laughed at my request, " he was just a fling... I am not the type of girl that can be cuffed by anyone"... I did not expect that type of response.

Sophia and I, finished our conversation and I headed to my room. I was just about to change my clothes when a card fell out of my purse. It was my savior's card, I examined the card and it did not have his name... just initials. As I was locked in my thoughts I was snapped back into reality by the ring of my phone...

Camilla : hello?

Kai : Camilla, hi it's Kai

Camilla : oh... hi, listen I am sorry for being sorta rude to you since I got here.

Kai : You can make it up to me by letting me take you out tonight.

Camilla : Sure, I'm available around 8pm... is that okay?

Kai : perfect, I'll see you then... until then, bye beautiful.

He hung up and I felt like a 16 year old when I had my first boyfriend.

I still had the card in my room and I could not stop thinking about the card and the opportunity this man has to offer, as a journalist in USA I would get $7500 per month but triple that amount... It seemed too good to be true. Who was I to complain, the man seemed rich enough to buy my life. I decided to give this a shot and gave him a call...

Eliot : Talk...

Camilla : hi... you the guy that claims to have saved me right?

Eliot : the name is Eliot.

Camilla : uh yeah, can we please meet up maybe now?

Eliot : did you think about my proposal?

Camilla : uh yeah, I wanna join... I'll be your right hand woman

Eliot : (silent for a moment)

Camilla : We can meet up another time if...

Eliot : Get ready, my driver will pick you up in 30 minutes... don't make him wait a minute longer

He hung up before I got a chance to say anything else. I know this was a huge risk to take but I was willing to take it... the money was too much to pass on. I prepared myself, I wore a tight black dress, short enough to tempt him but long enough to send the message. As I was grabbing my purse, I heard my phone ding and a message came in "I'm outside" I'm guessing it was the driver.

I walked out of the apartment complex an got into the same BMW that had dropped me off hours ago. We drove back to the mansion in the secluded place and this time my heart was beating so loud and my stomach was twisted in a knot...
