"He is still alive." Raiden confirmed. "Good." Sonya nodded. The ninja's eyes blinked open. He sat up and sharply inhaled through his teeth while grabbing his torso. "I need you to lay back down. You took a lot of blunt force." Sonya said while she helped him back on the stretcher. "Do you feel better?" Raiden asked. He nodded no. "We nearly defeated him." "We?" "Yes. Sub-Zero and I-" he glanced at his side and saw no one. Looking at himself, he jumped back at the sight of his clothes now splattered in blue and yellow. "What's wrong, Taishi?" "I... I am not from this timeline."
"A transportation from another timeline? That can't be possible. Sub-Zero and Scorpion were just with us. If that happened, someone would have noticed." Sonya told the thunder god. "This was likely Kronika's doing. Remember that she is capable of manipulating memories." Raiden reminded her. "What do you remember before arriving here?" "Sub-Zero and I were walking in the Fire Garden when Geras confronted us. We were not able to finish him before he forced us through a portal." "It would seem my idea has been confirmed. He must be returned to his timeline as quickly as possible. In the meantime, he will need shelter." "Johnny and I have a guest room at home. Is that alright, Taishi?" "That is fine." "If you would like, Taishi, Sonya and I may tell you more about our timeline seeing as we are not sure how long you will be here." "I would like that." "Then we shall meet tomorrow."
