"This is our final stop before Disneyworld," Ben said, driving into the gas station."
Ben, I'm going to walk over to that Walgreens while you fill up the tank."
"Okay, babe. But we're not going to be that long."
Miranda speed walked over to the Walgreens. She walked through the isles and stopped at a pregnancy test. She couldn't believe that she was here again.
She finally picked up a box and then heard a familiar voice.
"Mom? Why do you have a pregnancy test in your hand? Are you pregnant again?"
Miranda quickly put the test behind her back. "Dani, why are you out of the R.V.?"
"I told Dad that we needed some snacks.
"Oh."
"So... are you pregnant?"
Miranda sighed. "I don't know yet."
"Mom, you've had three kids. You should know if you're pregnant."
"I believe I am. But I still need to check."
"I want a little sister. If you have another boy, our house will officially become a frat house."
"I want a girl too."
"Does Dad know?"
"No, and he doesn't need to know until I confirm it. Do you understand me, young lady?"
"Why?"
"Because I don't think your Dad wants any more kids, so promise me you won't say anything."
"Okay."
"Thanks, baby. Now meet me at the cashier."
They went to cash out and paid.
Dani suggested putting the pregnancy test in her bag so that Ben wouldn't see it.
They both got into the R.V. and acted as if nothing had happened.
During the ride, Miranda needed to pee. She thought this was a perfect time to take the test. She peed on the stick but realized that the wait time was at least 20 minutes. She didn't want to be in the bathroom that long because that would make Ben suspicious. She put the test in the box, back in Dani's bag, not looking at the results.
