"Baby, please talk to me. I'm sorry I snapped. I'll make it up to everyone." Ben begged outside Miranda's door.
"Leave me alone." Miranda said.
Ben felt like a complete ass. He yelled at his teen daughter and pregnant wife for nothing.
Ben heard a door open. It was Dani.
"Baby Girl, you're not talking to me either?"
"No Daddy."
"Are you mad?"
"Yes! Why did you snap on me like that?"
"I'm sorry! The thought of you growing up scared me to death, and I fuss when I'm scared."
"Well, you should get over that fear, because I'm growing up. And also, mom already taught me about sex and using protection. I won't be getting pregnant for a long time."
Ben quietly thanked God at her statement.
"So what will it take for you to forgive me?"
"I need you to start treating me like a young adult."
"I will and I promise I will be more open about your dating life."
"Then I forgive you. I love you, daddy."
"I love you too, princess."
Dani went back into the room.
"Miranda honey, please open the door." Ben said leaning against the door.
Miranda finally opened the door, which caused Ben to lose his balance and fall.
Miranda tried her hardest not to laugh, but it just came out.
Ben looked up at his laughing wife and he laughed too.
When their laughter died down they both just stared at each other.
Ben could see where Miranda was crying because her eyes were puffy. He felt so horrible.
"Can we talk?" Ben asked and Miranda nodded.
Miranda sat at the edge of the bed and Ben sat by her feet.
"I'm so sorry, my love. I feel like the biggest ass. I shouldn't have snapped at you and Dani like that, and there are no excuses, but baby why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?"
"Because you told me that you didn't want more kids."
"Babies are a blessing. And yes, I thought we were done making blessings, but God just gave us an extra one, and I am grateful. Are you happy about it?"
"Yeah. At first I was like 'four kids... wow!' And then I felt this amazing joy and excitement because I already want to meet them."
Ben touch her stomach. "I love you so much baby mama."
"I love you too baby daddy."
The whole family stayed inside that day, but tomorrow Ben had a surprise for everyone.
