chapter 1.

JENNIFER

It was my first day on the set of this new tv show I was going to be part of called "FRIENDS". My character was Rachel Green, a girl Ross was in love with since 9th grade. I didn't know this guy who played Ross, so I really couldn't wait to meet him.

It was eight in the morning when I got up. I went to the kitchen and made myself a toast with raspberries on top. I sat down to pour some juice in a glass and start eating. Then I chose an outfit and got ready for my first day on the set of "FRIENDS". I got out of my room and joined everyone downstairs. "Hey, I'm Courteney. I'm gonna be playing Monica Geller" this girl said to me. "Oh hi.. I'm Jennifer and I'm gonna be Rachel." I said with a smile already enjoying the people. "Oh yeah so you're the girl my brother is in love with" Court said with a chuckle. "Yes I am, in flesh and blood!" I responded and then continued "By the way, do you happen to know where this guy is? I would really like to meet him". "Uhm, yes, he is talking to the producers right now, but I suppose he'll be back soon." just when Courteney finished to say this sentence, a blond girl came and joined us. "Hello I'm Lisa Kudrow!" she said. "Let me guess... you're Phoebe right?" I said. "That's right! How do you know that?" she asked and I said "Well because I'm Rachel, Courteney is Monica so I just guessed you may be Phoebe". "And I suppose you're Courteney.." she said pointing to Court. "Yes that's my name" she said nodding. "Ohh so everything makes sense now" Lisa said and we all laughed. Just in that moment three guys approached us. I met Matt and Matthew when the last guy came up and shook my hand to introduce himself. I looked at him and we immediately got lost into each other's eyes. Those pretty brown eyes...

He managed to say his name and the character he was gonna play. "Wait you're going to be Ross?!" I said. Shit. He is Ross. Fuck. We were going to kiss sooner or later in the series, I already knew it. Well that could be a problem. He nodded and asked me "Who are you... uhm.. I mean who are you going to play?". "Rachel"

DAVID

Rachel?! She was going to play Rachel?! It was already hard because we couldn't get together, but at least we could've ignored each other when we weren't filming.

We looked each other in the eyes for a few seconds and started talking to get to know each other more. After about fifteen minutes, Marta Kauffman, the creator, started talking: "Hey everyone, so I see you already introduced yourselves" everyone nodded. "If I'm not wrong you have already read the script of the first episode, right?" she asked. "You're not wrong" I said. She chuckled and said "Good! Tomorrow we're going to have the script rehearsal at eleven a.m so you're free for the rest of the day. Just remember that we are going to shoot the intro in front of the fountain tonight at around 3 am. I'm sorry it's very early but we need the dark for a better result. So, for now you can do whatever you want: you can visit the set, go back to your rooms, stay together... I mean do whatever you want" we all laughed a little and greeted at her.

So, what was I going to do all day? I guess I could've just hang out with the rest of the cast to get to know them better. So I proposed this idea to them. "I'm in!" Courteney said. And so did Lisa, but Jennifer was a little hesitant. "Come on Jen!" Courteney tried to convince Jennifer, "I mean.. your boyfriend will be there". "Who?" she asked and Court pointed at me. "Wha- I mean.. he's not my boyf- he's not my boyfriend!" she said. "Come on! We're not blind. We see how you two look at each other" Lisa said. "Just admit you like each other okay? We won't judge!" Matt said. Jennifer started to smile and said "You guys are the worst! Let's just go upstairs okay? And instead of making mental films let's think about what to do during this free time alright?". "Fine, just try to wait a few hours before jumping on top of her alright tiger? We don't want to see that." Matthew said smiling and trying so hard not to laugh. At that joke everyone laughed a little and we started to go to our rooms.

"So, whose room is bigger, let's check" Matthew said. "Why do you wanna check which room is bigger?" Court asked. "Because I'm going to switch rooms and take the biggest one. I'm kidding, to know in which room we're going to spend the rest of the morning in." he answered. "Ohh" we all said.

JENNIFER

"Guys I think mine's the biggest" Matt said. After we all agreed that Matt's one was the biggest, Lisa and Courteney sat on an armchair, Matt and Matthew sat on the other armchair. We knew that they did that so that David and I were going to sit next to each other, but I enjoyed his company so I just let them go on with their obvious plan. "So, what are we gonna do?" Lisa asked. "I don't know... do you guys know how to play poker?" Matt said proposing an idea. "I do." Courteney said and the other three followed her. "So, I guess I'm the only one who doesn't know how to play, perfect." I said and they laughed a little. "Uhm.. no problem, I could teach you. I mean, maybe you and I can make a team and play against them." David proposed me. "Yeah I mean, it's not a problem for me if you and your boyfriend make a team." Matt said. "Guys stop! He's not my boyfriend!"

"Not yet at least" Lisa said whispering at Courteney. At that comment, David said smiling at me "Come on guys I'm just trying to help someone here alright?". "Oookay guys so while you shuffle the cards I'm gonna go make some snacks" Courteney said. "Oh wait let me help you" Lisa said and some seconds later Matt and Matthew followed her, leaving me and David alone on the couch. "Oh yes guys, bringing snacks sounds like a four people job!" David said. I giggled and he looked at me with a soft smile.
