He cried. He cried out his name so loudly that his throat started aching as his voice became raspy and breathy.
"No! Please! Mitsuba!"
Blood. There's so much blood on the floor, on his uniform, and on the pink-haired boy's pale and unresponsive body.
Kou was crying and shaking so much as he held his lover's cold body close to his, "What did you do to him?!" He yelled so loudly that his words echoed around the wrecked room. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!" He yelled once more.
The short boy laughed at Kou's painful state. His hands was hidden behind his back so Kou expected that the suspect was holding a weapon. And Kou wished he was right because when the apparition showed his hands... he was holding Mitsuba's dying, beating heart.
"No..." Kou looked down at Mitsuba and removed his bloody scarf, "It can't be..."
Underneath the scarf, was an empty hole on Mitsuba's chest. Kou can see the ribs, the lungs, the flesh but... he can't find Mitsuba's heart.
Kou screamed for the nth time as he cried harder than before. He cried and cried, he could feel his eyes stinging already. But then he noticed that he wasn't crying tears anymore, instead, he was crying out blood.
"Oh, how wonderful~!" The apparition laughed wholeheartedly, "I never knew a human can cry out blood! I guess we do learn something everyday~!"
"YOU BASTARD! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?!" Kou screamed at him, leaving Mitsuba's lifeless body on the floor as Kou stood up and aimed his spiritual weapon at the psycho. "WHY?!"
The apparition smiled at him, "Why~? Well... Incident was planned from the beginning, dear exorcist~ This all happened when..."
Kou's eyes twitched when the ghost paused just to annoy him, "When what?!"
The ghost laughed again. His laugh was distorted and sinister, and it was painfully echoing inside Kou's head. The room started shaking, the floor started flooding with blood as the little apparition continued his fit of laughter.
