accept or decline?

"Heyyyyy!" Olivia called as Cecilia's face loaded up on her screen. 

"Heyyy!" Cecilia returned with a grin, leaning her phone against her computer screen so she could still see Olivia as she continued to work on her homework.

"What are you doing??" Olivia asked, tilting her head at the sight of Cecilia's attention on something else. 

"Homework." 

"But you've already graduated?" 

"Yeah well, I've got to get ready for college." 

"Can't believe you are leaving me." Olivia pouted. 

"I'm not even going that far away. You'll still see me every weekend." Cecilia returned, her heartbeat speeding up upon seeing Olivia's pout. "Besides aren't you nearly graduated as well?" 

"Yep pretty much!" She responded with a grin. "Planning on celebrating it this weekend. Even maybe steal yours or Iris' cap and gown?"

"Haha of course! Got to give you the full deal."

"Speaking of...." Olivia trailed off, watching Cecilia's reaction carefully, psyching herself up to actually ask Cecilia the question she had been wanted to ask ever since it had first come to her mind. She couldn't chicken out this time. 

"Yes?" Cecilia questioned, her full attention falling onto Olivia. 

"Remember that thing I told you about? The Sour Prom thing I'm doing?" 

"Yes, the thing I totally didn't hint at to Conan, but forget about that," Cecilia said in a rush. 

"Okay, I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that not that it really matters because I'm announcing it in a couple of days but I have a question to ask you." 

"Go ahead?" Cecilia returned, tilting her head in curiosity. A small seed of recognition in her mind forming, although she didn't want to get her hopes up. 

"Well I'm going to ask some fans officially and of course you and the others have an automatic invitation but I kind of wanted to ask you officially as well." Olivia started, holding up a giant pink sign that Cecilia immediately recognised from the Sour Prom promo shots she had already seen, that read 'Prom Would Be Brutal Without U.' "So Lil, will you go to prom with me?"

"I would be honoured," Cecilia replied with a large smile, not bothering to hide her blush for once. 

"Ahh good! You had me worried for a second there, Lil." Olivia returned, ignoring the rapid beating of her heart. "Even wrote you a song and everything."

"Well please still give me the song!" Cecilia joked before the call fell silent once more. 

"I'm really glad you said yes, Lil," Olivia admitted quietly. 

"Wouldn't dream of saying anything else, Liv." Cecilia returned, something minuscule shifting in the air between them as the girls smiled at each other, doubt not crossing their minds for the first time in a while.
